Joined friends for lunch about 12:30. The restaurant wasnât very busy and we were seated immediately with our choice of a couple of waterfront tables. It was a very nice lunch the ladies having lobster salads and the gentlemen having the specials. Food was very tasty and plated appealingly. The reason for only three stars was our waitress. She was abrupt to the point of rudeness. She came to take our drink order and was put out that we werenât ready with our entire orderâwe had just sat down. She took our order and another young lady served the food. The next time we saw our waitress was when she was trying to snatch our plates from in front of us. When we asked her to leave one of the plates that we were still munching fries on she threw it back onto the table and huffed off. After finishing we were approached with âwant anything else?â And she plopped the bill onto the table. We paid the tab and lingered for a moment finishing our drinks and she approached us and spat out with a little venom, âok. Thank you. See you next time.â She did the same to another table behind us. I understand the need to facilitate turning tables over, but the deck was far from full, and we didnât linger over long. There was no need to be rude. Even a great meal is easily turned sour by rude waitstaff.

I had never had lobster, so I was very excited to try a lobster roll, but the lobster was a bit chewy.... the chowder, on the other hand, I would have eaten by the bucket! It was SOOO amazing!! The staff was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu and the town, and even recommended an ice cream shop down the street.

The burger and grilled sandwich were very great. The view was spoiled by the telephone pole and large sign. Lexie;s Landing is a branch of the famous Portsmouth burger place Lexie's Joint, and is a seasonal restaurant in the Great Bay Marina. The server was friendly, helpful, and served the food quickly. The burger was one of Lexie's specials and was very tasty. The grilled sandwich was also very tasty. The fries turned out to better than thought. At $6.50 for a burger or sandwich, $1.50 for a generous side of fries, and $5.00 for a local draft beer the prices were very reasonable. The restaurant itself is a tent, with a gravel floor and outdoor tables. The view could be fantastic, but is marred by the telephone poll, large sign, and parking lot. Lexie's Landing can be found using a GPS. it is less than ten minutes from the Fox Run Mall, and is a great alternative to fast food or chain restaurants in that area. it is best visited during good weather. It's main purpose is probably to provide takeout meals for boaters, but it does offer sit down eating.

Where to eat Soups food in Newington: The Best Restaurants and Bars

I had heard great things about this restaurant, and was disappointed in the service. While the grilled salmon was delicious, the server did not measure up to the quality I expected of a finer, pricey restaurant. He never asked me how the meal was, only returning to my table to deliver the check after I had finished eating.

First visit to Street in months. Same vibrant atmosphere and diverse menu. Ordered Bibimbap, our standing fave. It was not great. Rice not crispy. Egg over cooked. Vegetables soggy. Realize it's not an easy dish - but Street is known for theirs. Service was very slow at the bar. Waited almost 45 minutes for our dinner and the place wasn't busy. When I asked the bartender if our food was coming soon he asked "are you in a rush?". Really? The Gobi 65 was delicious as was the burger and fries. Interested to read other reviews now of an all time favorite. Train the bartender to not insult guests who were low maintenance and the only ones sitting at your bar would be a good start.

Set in a one story retired brick post office, The Black Birch has an unassuming exterior. The interior is modern minimalist balanced by reclaimed wood and hand blown glass lighting. Outdoors is a hidden gem of a beer garden.
We were in the area visiting our favorite butchers and after we decided to stop in for a bite. It was perfect timing. We were hungry, they had food,...great food as a matter of fact. It was right in the switch over from lunch tapas to a dinner menu. Once again, perfect timing. I opted for the scallops, and my wife was craving a burger. These folks locally source so the burger was from our butcher, Maine MEat, and my scallops from our friendly local fisherman. It was a win win. (If I could only cook like the Chef at BB. The space is small, so be prepared to rub shoulders with fellow foodies. The service was great. Weâll be back again for a planned âspontaneousâ visit with friends and family.Peace, Matt

Walking around Portsmouth, we came across Earth Eagle Brewings and stopped by for a beer. We originally sat outside, but since it started raining (and their covering apparently allows water through), we moved inside where it was hot and humid. We asked the bartender and server if they could turn up the fans, but even with that, air wasn't moving. I hope that Earth Eagle Brewings considers investing in some central air or something.Other than that, we really enjoyed the beers that are made right there. Our friends mentioned that Earth Eagle Brewings' beer menu had changed from when they were there 2 weeks ago, so it is good to see a brewery updating and rotating their beers.Finding the entrance to Earth Eagle Brewings may be tough since they are located on a side street. We wouldn't mind going back, but we hope that there is good weather.

Everyday our team of chefs work with our seafood buyers to source the best quality seafood. Our standards of excellence start with the selection of the top of the catch each day and often our daily specials are sourced from local fisherman who know where
What a disappointment. Went here after reading all of the positive reviews and honestly wish we would have gone to a McDonaldâs instead. The dining room was so bright it felt like a cafeteria instead of a restaurant. We started off by ordering an appetizer of fried clams which was a small portion that came out in a red and white paper container. They were listed at market price and we were appalled to see that they had the audacity to charge $28 when the bill came. I ordered an El Poloma off of the cocktail menu and received an oversized glass of soda water with a splash of grapefruit juice. Entrees were bland and lackluster. An hour and a half and $135 that I can never get back. Please donât waste your time. Hello shannonjb52,Weâre sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your recent experience with us. Weâre taking the feedback youâve given us seriously. Of course we try to keep our prices as reasonable as possible while being committed to the high-quality products we use, employing talented chefs and bartenders, and donât forget those ocean views! While an apology will not alter the outcome of your experience, I do extend it with sincerity and empathize regarding the points you made in your review.
