Prior to the 1987 consolidation of Canyon Country, Saugus, Newhall, and other neighboring communities into the city of Santa Clarita, it was an unincorporated area. It threw me off that a waitress didnât come around, but itâs not a deal breaker. They had great margaritas and you canât beat the $15 for 4 drinks. We had the nachos and added chicken, there is a ton of cheese, but they are good. I had a burrito and it was massive, could only eat half! My husband had the mesquite burger and he liked it. Overall good, and quick meal.

The waiter didn't provide us with knives at first, then forgot to bring them as our food waited. My son's rib-eye steak was too tough to eat. Our thin crust pizza pizza was okay. There were considerable empty tables inside but there was only room for us on the terrace.
We loved their porter, brown ale, and even the berry cider. The shepherds pie and chicken burger were very good. Server was helpful and attentive. Weâll definitely be back to sit outside in the beer garden. The only challenge was finding parking.

We had dinner at the Rose and Crown for the first time and were very pleased with the excellent food and service. We ordered several dishes including shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, steak & mushroom pie, fish & chips and scotch eggs. Everything was served hot and fresh and delicious! However, it did take a little while for the dishes to come out even though there were only a few tables. The meal was topped off with the most delicious sticky toffee pudding I've ever eaten! We have visited London and other parts of the U.K. and the food here rivals the real deal. We also ordered a Moscow Cranberry Mule that was very refreshing. Our server (a young man) was friendly and efficient. I also liked the ambiance and decorations within the pub. There are framed photos of the Queen and the Beatles and other knick-knacks.We will definitely be back! I wish they were open for lunch on weekdays instead of just on weekends.

We went to the Lazy Dog Restaurant in Valencia for dinner, because it was Pet Friendly. Lazy Dog has an outdoor patio area for seating that was very nice in the shade, quieter than inside, and seating with your four legged companion. The food was excellent. My wife had the salmon with pilaf rice, and I had the bison burger for the fiest time with onion rings. Liked the bison burger better than a regular red meat burger. Recommend reservations and Lazy Dog.

First time here. Have always heard that it is quite noisy so have avoided it. But went for late lunch and it was quiet. Large selection of craft beers, something for everyone. Several are local. We tried Topa Topa Chief Peak IPA 12 oz $8 and Pocock Old Red Brown 12oz $8. Both were good, but not if you sampled one after the other. They are completely different. For lunch we had the Ruben with chips $14 and since it was Taco Tuesday tried the Spicy Pork Taco special $10. The Ruben was big. Brought 1/2 home, but it was sure good. The taco were two street tortillas, made in house, lots of pork, cabbage and pico de gallo. Excellent and perfect size for lunch. My only complaint was the tortillas were greasy. We will definitely be back, for lunch though
