My brother and I ate here today as we were passing through town. The food was good (for pub food). But our server was spectacular. She was super pleasant, very nice, accommodating and just great at her job. That alone will get me to come back the next time Iâm in town passing through.

Visiting a cousin who lives in the area she had reserved a time for dinner. We (spouse and I) and cousin family arrived on time and were seated almost immediately on the deck. Then we waited â while several wait staff went around our table, took orders and served the tables around us but NO one came to us. So after 15 min I got up (I felt badly not being a local), and went and asked a wait staff person IF someone could come to serve us. She said she would will and came from the other end of the room and served us. She was efficient â brought water first, then we ordered drinks and then we ordered food. The wait was only tolerable because I was with a relative I only saw yearly and we had lots to talk about. The food was good, I had a salad and then steamed mussels, my wife and cousin had shrimp scampi and the other male had a club sandwich. Servings were very generous and cooked perfectly according to all of us. Also the view of the harbor, boats, etc. was very nice . So, I might give the place another go if in the area, if I could be assured that I would get my before dinner wine sooner than 20 minutes after arrival. IF we had been waited on in a reasonable time after we arrived I would have given a higher overall âscoreâ, but the long delay was VERY annoying!!!

Well known pub in New London near New London Barn Playhouse and Lake Sunapee
This was our first trip back since the renovation, it was great to see it.There were three of us and we each ordered something different and everyone loved their meals. The French fries were outstanding, I had some with my sandwich. After trying one of mine everyone else wanted some too.I had the carrot cake for dessert and it was fabulous. As you can probably tell we recommend this place! The only negative thing I could say is that the restroom was like a refrigerator....very chilly in there.

I really like this place it is what it looks to be - a simple unpretentious pub serving good wholesome food, waitress had no airs and graces but was friendly, honest and made us smile. Lovely views on the one side. Place was busy with all sorts of groups and I can see why, if you want a straightforward meal then it's a recommendation.

We had mixed results. We were staying at Mountain Edge and decided to try on a Wednesday night. My wife's cosmopolitan was VERY weak. Some of our food was OK but two meals were not cooked properly. Perhaps worth a try and hope for better consistency.

We had a nice meal here for dinner, but it wasnât great. One reason is the noise, as the room really amplifies sound, but that was mostly due to a nearby holiday party in full swing. We really couldnât even talk over dinner though. The food was good - short rib stroganoff, tenderloin tips, and risotto were nice and recommended (nice they have a vegetarian option). The downer was the appetizer - we tried the Gouda tater tots and were shocked that for $9 we got 5 (yes, five) little tots. They were good, but we really didnât feel good about that - not recommended at all.

Iâve been getting Bubbaâs Reuben sandwiches for a number of years now. They have always been delicious, with numerous slices of fresh corned beef, plenty of sauerkraut, and dressing. Yesterday my husband and I went there for the same. I was absolutely appalled when I received my sandwich. There was less than one slice of corned beef on my whole sandwich. I could count the number of pieces of sauerkraut on my bread, maybe four. I explained to the waitress the kind of Reuben sandwiches we used to get and I asked if there is a new chef, and she said there was. She was very accommodating and said she would go in to see if she could get me more corned beef, but she came back and told us that I would have to pay for more corned beef! I told her I would never return to the restaurant for a Reuben sandwich again and that I was extremely disappointed. The Reuben sandwich was an absolute disgrace on Bubbaâs account. I also ordered the spinach salad which I have gotten before and, evidently, Bubbaâs is also cutting on its salads because I ended up with a lot less spinach in the salad than I have had in the past. Bubbaâs is now cutting corners everywhere. SO BEWARE!
