Our family visited this establishment during our stay on Long Lake. The food was slightly above average. We had a plate of nachos that was over cooked. The buffalo chicken rangoons were excellent though. The service was slow. Good if you are just relaxing, but could be more attentive.

We arrived at this restaurant at 11:55 am on the Saturday of the wooden boat show. There was a line at the door; families with children waiting for tables. They soon turned around visibly upset. The kitchen wasnât open yet. What? People came and had drinks waiting for the kitchen to open. Finally opened at 12:30.Canât say it wasnât a good fish sandwich served by a very nice person. Very tasty with excellent coleslaw. Worth the wait, probably. Just be aware there are issues with staffing and management.

Restaurant, Brewery & Bar set in farmhouse built in the 1860's. Outside bar Checkpoint 70 open in the summer and provides another stage for outdoor entertainment. Live bands every weekend! Thirty taps to choose from with continuous rotating local drafts.
Awesome food great service good prices. Awesome company fantastic location in the lakes region. Have been coming back for a number of years and would highly recommend. If you havenât tried this place you need to put it on your list.

Captain Jack's is sort of the locals spot, but is welcoming to all. Great location sitting right above the marina and on the channel between Long Lake and Brandy Pond. Most days there will be live music which can make it loud, so don't expect a quiet lunch along the water. Staff is always fantastic. Will never be a 4/5 star service, but we're in Naples not Portland, you shouldn't expect it! Attentive but not there to hold you hand! Menu provides something for everyone, but I am a fan of the steak and cheese which comes loaded. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap with bacon is great as well, but is a bit inconsistent. Beer menu is nice as well, with the basic Bud Heavy and Bud Light, or grab a Lone Pine Portland Pale. Owner is around all the time, although he is enjoying himself but not to an irresponsible level.. Swing on through!

We decided to leave the coast area of Southern Maine (Old Orchard Beach) and do some exploring. It was very hot out, 92 degrees at lunch time. We took a chance with the Freedom Cafe and were very pleased. We are out on the back deck, most likely 90 in the shade, but it was right on the water. Food was excellent. I had a pulled pork sandwich with blueberry bbq sauce which was awesome and my wife had a lobster roll. Service was good, music was good.....glad we stopped.

A small local family owned business featuring Maine favorites and elevated pub fare. We're famous for our variety of 1/3 lb, fresh, tail knuckle and claw, Maine Lobster Rolls, but if seafood isn't you're thing, we've got amazing 1/2 lb Angus Burgers, Jumb
This is a cut place though a little 'rough' interior (in other words, not fancy tables or lighting). The bar looks like fun (we had kids so that was out). Get the lemon-zesty lobster roll (highly recommend it). Check out before you go, they aren't open on Sundays.
