Tired of Äevap and burek? It happens. If you find yourself in Mostar, looking for something different, give this place a try. It's not a long walk from the Old Bridge area, right across the street from the Post Office, just down from Mepas Mall. You may be able to find parking behind the restaurant. The staff is friendly and professional, owners are from Spain. Everyone there speaks English. This is tapas, so you're going to need to order several. Don't expect one plate to fill you up! The day I was there they had more than a dozen tapas on offer. Each dish is prepared for you after you order, so you will have to wait a few minutes, but that also means that it hasn't been sitting out all day. I was in a group of five and everyone ordered several dishes, and we shared. No one was disappointed.I wont try to spell the dishes I ordered, but I had n omelet in the shape of a muffin and then some beef meatballs in a tomato sauce served over thinly slice and fried potatoes. Very nice.Highly recommended

I visited Taboo bar and restaurant with my husband for drinks first. It's near a private clinic I had an appointment where, so we stopped there for coffee and hot chocolate. The drinks were very tasty. I liked the place immediately, so we asked the waiter about what they have to offer. We were pleasantly surprised to learn they also serve food. When we heard they offered sushi, (which we haven't tried before) we promised to come back for lunch. That we sure did! We ordered two kind of sushi, one dish with salmon, the other with tuna. I forgot which one came with avocado, but that one was the tastiest. Anyhow, both dishes were excellent. I'm not a sushi expert but I liked them. They are very affordable but also quite small. The sushi options are more an appetizer, I'd say. We picked up some sandwiches on our way back home because we were still hungry. The service was very friendly. We do know the waiters, I've been living in Mostar for almost a decade so I know a lot of people, but I'm sure they're just as friendly as helpful in general. The atmosphere is very nice. The decor is very pleasing to the eyes. The only downside is the bathroom which is beautiful and modern but a bit hard to find. I had to ask for help from some random guy to turn on water, they have these pipes that hang from the ceiling- a bit confusing. On overall, my experience was very pleasant. We went in for drinks with friends a few days later. Again, the service was excellent. The tea was delicious and served beautifully. The lavazzo coffee with ice-cream was just dreamy! Be sure to try it.

We ordered five different foods and everything was great. The pizza was delicious and the mixed meat plate was the best we had in the town. The fries could be better though, and the mixed meat could have included lamb but didn't. But still great.

Served by students who try to speak some English. Very helpful with older people. The menu of the day is good and not expensive. They will tell you if you have to wait for dishes on the menu since everything is made to order. The white wine of the house is fairly good and will not give you heartburn. Not the place for dessert

This place sells local craft beer made by the owner. It's absolutely delicious, I recommend getting a "flight"of 4 different beers to try. It's very affordable and they have board games and a cosy terrace. If you want to have some beers in mostar, THIS is the place. Thank you for your kind words. May I add that besides local craft beer we also have local wine, local rakija and liquors. Local 100% juice without sugar and preservatives and local still and mineral water. Resist corporate beer!!!

Wonderful Calzones, Awful Milkshakes with No MilkRecommended to us by the staff at Motel Deny. Just a two block walk from Old Town.Excellent menu. Had two huge and very tasty calzones and two not so great âmilkâ shakes (mostly lightly flavored colored seltzer water with whipped cream â not good). $15 USD. They take credit cards and service is excellent. Open for breakfast (pancakes, waffles, omelets, etc.)
