Trendy and warm gastropub located alongside Kex Hostel in central ReykjavÃk, offering views of the Atlantic Ocean. High quality food for a fair price and 14 beers on tap. Our menu offerings vary from the perspective of a gastropub with a complete focus on
This meal was one of the best I had in ReykjavÃk. Itâs a little difficult to find but definitely worth it! They have a large selection of beers, lots of local brews to choose from. I had the fish and chips and they were the best I had during my time in Iceland. The portion size was good, 3 decent sized pieces of fish, fried to perfection. The fries were also tasty. I sampled the fried chicken which was also delicious and came with two different sauces. A definite highlight meal in Reykjavik, I would recommend stopping here for some excellent food!

We had visited Mikkeller in Copenhagen so we're keen to visit again. It had the best selection of beers of the places we have been in Reykjavik, however was the most expensive! In addition it didn't have a happy hour, like many other places do.

At Public House Gastropub, we put an emphasis on serving fun dining along with some quality ambience. We use Icelandic ingredients but we add some âjapanese flairâ to our dishes as we like to have fun with our food and drinks.
We each had Fish & Chips and enjoyed. This place is in the main shopping area of the old town. A great stop with great fish

Family run Bar/Restaurant in ReykjavÃk. At Frederiksen Ale House we pride ourselves in passionate cooking and personal service, we got Happy hours and/or activities everyday. Feel free to stop by for a beer or two. Love The Frederiksen family
We wanted to try the traditional Icelandic lamb soup and it felt that it should be eaten in some place other than a restaurant so we went to the ale house! Good pub environment, got lucky with happy hour for the beers and had their lamb soup. The food was good - really it is a lamb hot pot in a lot of stock. It was generously loaded with lamb and vegetables and was filling. The bread that accompanied it was the strangest that I have ever had though. It was dark, was slightly greasy in texture - a bit like fried bread and came with some form of spread. To this day I have no idea what either was. They had a taste that was very different and strangely more-ish considering that I had no idea what I was eating. Nice enough not to be good for me probably! If you just want a simple but good meal in a decent pub then why not give it a go.

Brass kitchen and bar serves; Breakfast buffet from 7:00-10:00 every day. Kitchen is open from 11:30 -22:00 every day Bar is open from 11:30- 23:00 every day
Not impressed. At first glance a modern smart restaurant with a western style menu but The choice was a little limited. Service was friendly and efficient, so no fault there. We chose the fish and chips and fish soup. The soup was good but we were disappointed by the fish and chips. Three very small pieces of fish and although the batter was light and crispy there was very little taste. The chips were too thin and the malt vinegar (on the menu) didnât appear until we asked, and then turned out to be basaltic. A shame.

Icelandic through and through. Icelandic cuisine with a twist. Not touristy, more the place for travelers to mix with the locals. The only bar in the world that serves all Icelandic beers and spirits.
Great local restaurant with a very comfy feel and a wonderful selection of local beers and fare. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating and quite knowledgeable about their culinary culture and spirits. Feels like you are in a comfortable living room enjoying a meal with friends.

Located in Central ReykjavÃk, Laugaveger 74 - Main Street. We are a quirky and fun Bistro with a twist on classic bistro dining and awesome cocktails to match.
Went with my wife and had a good draft beer and great burger (several choices on menu) and amazing (large!) Brownie for dessert. Really enjoyed the dinner and service team. In line with other Reykjavik restaurants it was not cheap but we would absolutely reccomended.

A tiny, family owned soup restaurant in the heart of Reykjavik. We are proud to be the first and the original "soup in bread" restaurant in Iceland. We've been serving soups in bread for over 20 years amd we love it. Please note: We do not take reservatio
Serves beer & fabulous soups in bread. This evenings choices were a veggie soup with coriander and the meat one had beef, lamb and vegetables. We tried the meat one which was delicious- more a stew than soup but filling & great value at 1950isk. The IPA beer was crisp and citrusy as it should be.

We were staying locally so checked out Blik for dinner one evening. We reserved our table online which was an easy process, and were given a table by the window - so we were treated to a sensational sunset. Me u was small, but definitely something for everyone. Food was good and reasonably priced by Iceland standards, and service with a smile. A memorable evening for all the right reasons.
