I had already heard about the home-made food from Casa Havanesa. Being a former historical bookshop from the city of Figueira da Foz, I was really would like to know more about the place that charmingly preserved some of its original bookshop furniture. I could finally visit it with some friends last August. We chose the degustation menu which included a set of starters (fried fish, mushrooms, fresh cottage cheese with pumpkinh marmelade, patê, olives,...)and two dishes: octopus rice and pork with sauteed veggies and sweet potato mash. It was a feast of flavour!! Everyone tasted everything and rach one of us could repeat one of the things that had liked the most. We all loved it. We felt at home, and that feeling is priceless...

This place has great steaks and great burgers at local prices! You're getting great food for very reasonable prices in a great atmosphere and great service. The highlight we're the cocktails which were all again at local prices and tasted great! Highly recommend!

I visited this place in July and at this time it was occurring a massive sunset party in the beach, so because of the many thousands of tourists that were in the city by that weekend, the manager decided to have only one dish available. I really didn't get it. And I'm right in disagreeing with this because I was having lunch and all the restaurants I passed by were fulfilled and in this one, many people entered and then immediately left because of the lack of choice in the menu. And at least while I was there, never got full.I didn't get also the awful beer served (Estrella Damn). I know that it's cheap for the owner, but to people who like to drink a nice beer while eating a burger, it's really not a good thing. The burger was reasonable, and the only good aspects was that the place is comfortable and well decorated and the workers are extremely nice. It's well located also.

Fuimos a tomar una cerveza antes de ir a cenar. El sitio la verdad es que está decorado con mucho gusto. Además habÃa un DJ poniendo música en directo Y nos tomamos una cervezas artesanas. Lógicamente más caras que las Sagres o súper Brock. Pero el sitio lo merece. Además coincidió con la puesta de sol y fue maravilloso... si estáis por la zona, totalmente recomendable
