My first time to Cranbury inn was very memorable. As you walk into this restaurant you get a feeling like you walked into a place transformed with time. The inside decor has plaintings relating to our president George Washington and artifacts from civil war peroid. Â Â Â The food is excellent, especially the crab cakes, coconut shrimps, and others. I had Rainbow trout with vegetables which was very good. There is a selection of desert and I tried their Cheesecake and Rice pudding which I highly recommend. Â Â Â Â Â As for service I would say simply outstanding and the gentleman who served us was Guy Williams. He was very caring andAlways made sure food was good and always came to fill our glass with water. If you ever visit this restaurant do look for Mr Williams, you will not be disappointed. Â Â Â Â Â Â After food Mr Williams took us around the restaurant and gave us a tour about history of this place that was built in 1780. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation and it is my pleasure to give them 5 stars.

First time here, itâs a large bar with adjoining area of tables. The food was a step up from the basic bar and grill items. We had good tacos ( pulled pork, mesquite chicken) plus good chili and a very good crab soup with crab meat. Friendly and flexible staff, family atmosphere in dining area. We would try this again if in the area.

Stopped here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. It was NOT crowded. The parking lot was unpreposessing to say the least with weeds in planters and very unkempt looking, but inside the bar looked ok. There were people seated. The restaurant was empty save for 2 diners finishing up. We were seated quickly and given menus. Our waitress, Debbie was acting both as hostess and waitress. I got the impression that she was also working in the bar too. We made our drink and meal selections and waited. She returned and took our order of a coke, huckleberry lemonade, chicken francaise w/ salad and corned beef sandwich w/ onion rings. Shortly after the order was placed, she returned to advise that the bartender informed her the vodka needed to make the huckleberry lemonade drink was not available and that I needed to make another drink selection. No problem, I tried another lemonade drink with honey. We got our drinks, I was not impressed with the honey drink, but ok. It was something new to try. It was overwhelmingly honey, very little lemonade, very little alcohol. What can you say about a Coke? It's a Coke. My salad arrived, beautifully presented, fresh, dressing on the side. Delicious. Meals timed perfectly. The chicken Francaise was served over a flavored rice. Big no no. A plain rice or pasta (preferably pasta) would have been so much better. Better to absorb the sauce. This dish had too much salt as it was. The lemon was excessive to the point of bitterness. The chicken was cooked well and the overall presentation was nice. Make those few adjustments and it would be a winner. As I was hungry, I ate everything without complaint. My husband said his corned beef sandwich and onion rings were tasty. The tavern has a nice menu. With a few tweaks and some sprucing up of the outside apearance, it would make a better impression.

We ate here a few times generally for dinner. It was a little pricy but the food was good and the service was really good. The seating was comfortable, the atmosphere relaxed and we felt welcome and easy. There was enough on the menu for my fussy son to find something to eat and enjoy and he loved the milkshakes.Taking the correct turn had us going in circles a couple of times but there was plenty of parking and it was close to where we were staying and some of the other shops.

Yes, authentic food. Yes, wait staff who are trying, but are clearly new at delivering the service most Americans expect. So itâs a case of omission rather than commission. Yes, the more than a dozen TVâs are not operating. If youâre trying to eat a relaxing meal, thatâs a great thing! Itâs bad enough that this decent Indian restaurant is confined to the remains of Yogiâs Sports Bar: if it were not for the soothing Indian music instead of all those screens piping in video feeds, it would be a lost cause. But the food...itâs a worthy effort. We liked the mixed pakora. Nice and crunchy, not too greasy, with two decent sauces. About ten varieties of naan listed, but we prefer papadam. We asked and they supplied. The tandoori wings had a nice char, though the flavor was just average. My wife wanted a spicy dish and the vegetable Hari Masala delivered crunchy veggies with a nice zing.

This place is always busy for good reason... there's no place that delivers an experience like they do in the general area... an excellent bar, friendly service, some excellent chow, tons of TVs for sporting events... in the football season they have every game! Was great that we could watch the Duke game in the NCAA tourney while enjoying some chow. They also have an aggressive happy hour that seems to draw a crowd. I love the burgers here... excellent ground beef and grilled perfectly. The chili we tried was great, quesadilla just ok, wings pretty good, chicken fingers very good. Hanna, our waitress, was excellent... fast, friendly and efficient.Wow WINEandTRAVEL, thanks for the great review! We appreciate your feedback, and hope to see you again soon!
