If u would seek a Authentic place to get real fresh flemish food then our restaurant is the place to be. The old wooden interior makes u feel at home right away, this combined with the friendly staff who will help u with a smile and a joke sometimes! Don'
A small pub/brasserie with a local ambience. Our waiter (Matthieu- sp?) was a font of knowledge and advice from bringing us samples of different beers to go with our meals to making detailed recommendations about what we would likely enjoy for dinner. My wife started with the garlic shrimp in butter and I had pork belly in a dark beer sauce. We both tasted each otherâs and they were GREAT (not just good but GREAT). The dark bread that accompanied the dishes would have made your grandmother proud. For dinner my wife had the Flemish Beef Stew and I had the chicken in cream sauce. Herâs was merely excellent, but mine was on a par with the best meal Iâve ever had. No hyperbole. Iâm a pretty savvy foodie and this chicken with cream sauce was on a different level. As the Guide Michelin would put it âvaut le voyage. â GO THERE!!!Dear,It was my pleasure to help u and ure wife to make a choice for diner.Thank u for trusting me in this matter. We hope to receive u another time and i wish u and ure a wife a nice experience in Europe and a safe trip home.Kind Regards,Your waiter (Matthias) :)

Enjoyed our visit and the food was very good. Nothing to write home about though. Beer range is good though could be much more interesting. Candles in the entrance way are neat. Service was variable i.e. slow when you needed it. Ho hum.

This pub is a little out of the way, but well worth visiting. We shared a shrimp croquette starter, which was very tasty. For mains we had a goulash with rice and a Flemish beef stew with extremely good chips. Both were very good indeed. There is a good beer selection and I really liked the Triple d`Anvers. We did not have room for desserts, but I had a coffee, prepared in the tradtional local way. It was excellent.

I had managed to convince my fellow travellers that we needed to go to see Ruben's house, knowing full-well that there wouldn't be enough time for a proper visit, so as I let out a slightly over-dramatic sigh, I turned, looked around and suggested that we could get out of the cold by popping into here to warm up. Admittedly, the detour to see the house was a cover to get to this bar, as I'd read so much about the decor. Now, in mid-Summer, I imagine it's wonderful place to sit outside and watch the world go by, by in December we wanted to be inside. As soon as you step in you notice how charming the place is. You may also notice how small it is and when the three of us entered, it suddenly became crowded with tourists!A small bar to the left and a few tables and chairs on the right are all that's needed and my only grumble would be that we didn't get a table, but hey, it's their local not mine, so not much of a grumble. The decor is a mix of Art Deco from both sides of the Atlantic and every surface has at least some embellishment. The list of beers isn't so long as to drive you mad and the owners/staff were happy to offer suggestions. Unfortunately, there were very many more places to visit between here and our hotel, otherwise I would have liked to enjoy the atmosphere in the evening, but if I come back to Antwerp, I'd happily pop in again. I might even try to factor in enough time to visit Ruben's house. All in all, this is a lovely bar and the only reason for not getting 5/5 is that we didn't try the food.If you get a chance, peer over the bar to get a look at how they keep track of which table orders what. I'm sure it works for them, but for all we could tell, they might have been decoding secret messages.

Elfde Gebod is the restaurant with the most unique interior in the world, which offers captivating historic Flemish dishes, good prices, top-class service and a rich choice of the world famous Belgian beers. This is the place that you must see with Your o
Majestic! Brilliant! Tremendous! Tasty! That place could be a museum with all that furniture and unique interior but, lucky we are, it is a pub. Well, amazing beer, great local flammish dishes, very nice stuff and nice prices. Iâve arrived Antwerpen on Thursday. And today was my third time in a row here. Two days more in the city - two days more in Elfde Gebod. That place isnât just worth visiting - it could be a crime if you skip visiting it during your stay in Antwerp. Thanks for such amazing place with unique atmosphere. Iâm going to return with my friends next time being in Antwerp

I came across this restaurant from a travel blogger. We went there for lunch and it was superb. The menu is in the native language. But the waiter is so friendly he was patient enough to translate everything. My hubby had the steak and fries, and I had the BLT sandwich. It was great. Also recommended is the green tea detox drink. It was very refreshing.

Mussels in the season
Local people suggest me this hotel for the variety they offer. They simply were the best. Two ladies fluent in English helped me place the order. They gave a local soup on every table as complimentary. The food was simply at its best.I had the chicken supreme and the way it was presented spoke a lot of the food. The taste was carved to perfection. My friend had a pasta and he too gave it a big thumbs up.The atmosphere was good.I will always recommend booking a table as it's a packed place with locals and tourists. To me a must must go restaurant.

Friday the thirteenth in December 2013 Billie's Beer Kafetaria opened the doors. The original name was still just "the Kafetaria. " Billie's Beer Kafetaria is part of a dying breed of genuine, old-fashioned brown cafes. Billie's Kafetaria Beer is not just
Billie's Bier Kafetaria is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best beer bars in this most beautiful of cities. The bar looks super, an authentic traditional interior set over two floors with great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and innumerable beer posters and enamels adorning the walls and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar, it's a great bar perfect to unwind in. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Monday night, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who took our order of a beer each,we opted to have an ipa from Founders Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. Ive been to this bar on many occasions over the years, the range of beers is always interesting and the quality of the way the beers is served is always exceptional, this probably explains why this bar is always busy.My ipa was outstanding, a rich, hoppy and well balanced beer bursting with taste and very easy on the tongue, an ipa with character. We both really enjoyed our beers and although we only stayed for the one beer and our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Billie's Bier Kafetaria we had a great time. Billie's Bier Kafetaria is really easy to locate on a street called Kammenstraat. A great bar,if your in the area well worth a visit.
