We decided on Boardwalk Billyâs in Matthews for dinner tonight since itâs been quite a while since weâve eaten there. They werenât super busy yet, so we were seated immediately and just as quickly, our server came to take our drink orders. I noticed that the sanitation grade is 98.5; thatâs great in my book!After looking over the menu for a minute or two, our server came back to take our orders. My husband got the wings and I got the crab cake dinner with hushpuppies.We didnât have to wait very long at all for our food to come out. My hush puppies came piping hot with a homemade honey butter that was to die for! I immediately tried the butter by dipping the hot hush puppy into the smooth, creamy butter. The hot hush puppy with that sweet honey butter melting over the itâ¦Oh. My. Gosh. I couldnât get enough of that sweet, creamy flavor, and wish now Iâd spread some over my crab cakes! Just thinking about it now makes me close my eyes and go âmmmmmmâ.The crab cakes were good and are always my go to, but the rémoulade had a little too much horseradish for my taste tonight. My husband liked his wings and the bleu cheese dressing, as always, had huge chunks of bleu cheese in it. I love to scoop some of those big pieces of cheese on my fork and eat it right off the fork! But, then again, I love bleu cheese!Boardwalk Billyâs is a casual, sports bar-type restaurant that has very good food. Besides this location in Matthews, there is one in the University area as well. You canât go wrong eating there and Iâm sure once you do, youâll go back.

Visited this restaurant around four years ago and really enjoyed our meal, however!They seem have got a little too excited with the spicing and Chillis! The Honey Mustard Wings which were incredible are now Bourbon Honey Mustard Wings and way hotter and the Nachos have a pile of chilis lurking within.Still love the boneless bbq wings and Tuesdays where the small orders of 5 wings become a mamouth 16 wings!

My mom & I visited Applebeeâs specifically to try the advertised all you can eat riblets or chicken tenders. This location is in a very nice part of Charlotte called Matthews so excellent service was expected which we did receive. Our waiter was very kind and polite and had a sense of humor when I asked if he had some cornbread to go with my ribs . My mom had fish and chips which were equally delicious and well seasoned, I highly recommend the sweet potato fries without salt, do not get mashed potatoes they are not tasty.

Recently they changed things around here and I like it better now. The have live music often, many times much too loud for the size place though (thus the 4 star). I love love music sets, and I am fine with loud music, though when you have to scream to speak to your server its a bit much. Price is a bit high though food is good, portions are decent too.

I enjoyed my visit her, lots of tasty meal options, I had the Fish & Chips) decent price, not super expensive, a very fun atmosphere, inside and outside seating. I think I was a bit over dressed, go casual, this is not fine dining, but if you are on a budget and just want to enjoy a hot tasty meal without breaking the bank, this is your spot.

Conveniently located to area housing developments and in a shopping plaza with Publix and Dunkin Donuts to name a couple. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately as there were not too many people there around 5 PM on a Sunday evening. Eventually we were told our server would be over. She finally got to our table and took our order. While we waited, we noticed half the restaurant is a bar and the other half are tables. THere are a lot of tv screens playing (the day we went) plenty of football games. The garden salad was extremely fresh, crisp, and the salad dressing quite tasty. The burgers are a meal, quite large. Ours were cooked to order and brought out what seemed immediately from the kitchen as they were super hot. We never saw our waitress for quite sometime. Thank goodness our burgers came out perfectly since she never came to check until we were almost finished. Our drinks were refilled by another server altogether. Just felt our server could have been a bit more attentive to us. I never saw her as I glanced around the restaurant. She like evaporated into thin air. Saw many of the servers behind where they have pitchers of tea/water etc. just chatting away. Nothing else better to do???? Go for the burgers but be warned, service is iffy.Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so happy you enjoyed the food and we will make sure we continue to work with our staff to give the best service possible. Can't wait to have you back!

We visited the Charlotte area recently and was looking for a decently priced place close to our hotel one evening. Picadeli's had decent reviews, so we decided to give it a try. The service was excellent and we enjoyed our sandwiches. I highly recommend the corned beef sandwich. Also, the prices are reasonable for what you receivewould eat here again on a future trip to the area.

I had higher expectations going in the atmosphere is nice our waitress was awesome the beer was cold. The brisket just was not up to expectations as it was tough and chewy as opposed to falling apart on my fork. It is decent but there are many other barbecue options available. It would be a while before I returned.

Kristopherâs was recommended to us by a Matthews doctor we had just met. What an excellent choice. We enjoyed a stuffed baked potato with salad and a chicken, cheese and bacon quesadilla with salad. The food was excellent and served with a smile. Our server stopped by the table to ask if the food met our expectations and a couple more times to ensure we had everything we needed. Two very good lunches and the bill was a little more than $18. How can you beat that?
