We have eaten at Finley's several times over the years when in this part of California and every luncheon we've had there has been really just, plain, GOOD! We have sampled several, different, menu choices over the years, and today's samples were delicious, just like all of the rest. We really must make a point of being in the neighborhood for dinner sometime, but as we live near Portland, OR, so far that opportunity has not turned up.

We decided to eat here for dinner together upon my husbandâs recommendation because he had eaten here twice before and enjoyed the food and experience. This time though was definitely a poor experience. After sitting down we were waited on pretty quickly, asked for water and ordered a potatoe skin appetizer to share. We asked for a little more time to check out the fairly extensive menu. When our waiter came back, I ordered posole (Mexican pork and hominy soup) that my husband had before here and liked. My husband ordered a chili burger with fries. We proceeded to wait a long time, longer than expected since there didnât seem to be many people eating here, most were hanging out at the bar with drinks. Finally the waiter came with my posole and a bowl of chili for my husband, rather than the chili burger. The waiter took it back and we reminded him of the potatoe skin appetizer we ordered. My husbandâs hamburger then came right away, but it was a little longer for the potatoe skins, which we planned to eat before our main food when we ordered it. Our silverware was wrapped in a napkin and I noted that my fork was dirty, with smears of food stains. The spoon I got for my posole was not a soup spoon but a small spoon one would eat ice cream or fruit with. Without a fork and this almost tiny spoon, I did the best I could. The posole was good, but not great. It did have big chunks of pork inside which was nice, but I wasnât wild about the broth. When I have had posole before, the onions and shredded cabbage are on the side so you can put on what you want. But here it was dumped on top and there were so many onions it was a bit overwhelming. My husband was not as pleased with his chili burger as before as there was not much chili on top this time. During our meal we were not asked if we wanted our water refilled and at one point mid way through the meal, the waiter quickly dropped off a basket of tortilla chips and said they were for me (tortillas often come with posole) and then he rushed off. No comment that he was sorry it wasnât brought with the posole to begin with. The chips were very brown, obviously over cooked. When our waiter didnât bring our ticket so we could pay, my husband had to go to the bar to try and get it. He told me later that the waiter had accidentally given our ticket to someone else. We paid and were happy to leave. We sat in one of the booths which in my opinion have uncomfortable seats, just hard plastic. The place presented as a little chaotic. It looks like it would be a good stop for a drink and to play pool or poker, but not a relaxing or appealing kind of place for a dinner out. I would skip, we wonât be back.

We came here for a late dinner as a couple. We had seen this business for a while, but never tried it out previously. The place was pretty empty and the interior seemed well worn. It could use a remodel for sure. If you can see past that though, the service and food was good for a great price. We had a burger and a sandwich. Both were well prepared and came out pretty quickly. The server was very attentive and kind.

Our out-of-town family members were visiting and we had 18 family members that wanted to go to dinner together on their last night in town. I don't think they take reservations. It was a Wednesday, so Chili's was not super busy, but we "called ahead" a little over an hour prior to arrival, to give the manager "heads-up" that a large party was planning to come in at 6:00 PM. When we got there the tables were set up and ready for us to all sit together. Booster seats were provided for the "little one's". The servers were very pleasant and made sure our beverages were re-filled and our needs were taken care of. With such a large group, they did extremely well in keeping track of all the assorted orders and "special" requests. The food was wonderful, as usual. We owe Chili's and it's employees a BIG THANK YOU -- for helping to make our family dinner a wonderful night for us all to remember.

The service was average / not bad enough to complain but not attentive - including 2 incorrect drink orders. The food was barely average - nothing was hot, only warm, everything was over sauced and had average flavor. Cleanliness was average as well. One of the only late night choices in the area so average it may have to be next time we go out after work.

My wife and I stopped by for an early dinner on Valentineâs Day without a reservation. Service was friendly and efficient. The menu is impressive and it was a difficult decision to decide what to have. We split a seared Ahi tuna which was perfectly done. We then had their Tuscan steak flatbread which was wonderful! Add to that a wide selection of beers and we had no room for their tempting dessert menu. Next time.
