Just like another day, drove hungry for a bit looking for something different. Chiliâs is not different but it was a new restaurant in a great location right off the traffic light in the corner as I was coming out of the Cancer Center. So I wanted to check them out. It is a great location, much more spacious than the older restaurants. The lay out and searing is very nice. I sat at the bar, very fast service. I had the Chiliâs burger. Just enough for my appetite. The server lady was very nice.Had a great lunch. A place I think I will stop again when I get back that way

Recently visited The Half Shell with a family member. We ordered a dozen raw oysters and the crab cake appetizer. The oysters were extremely small and dry. The crab cakes were small, pan fried and had a below average flavor. We ordered bisque and half fried oysters and fried shrimp. The bisque was excellent, shrimp were good, oysters were way over cooked. Drinks were good, along with the service. Very nice atmosphere. I will not return due to the food quality. Very expensive for what we received. For the prices, quality should have been much better. Dear tmitchell38305,We are so sorry to hear about your experience at the Covington location. We didn't live up to the high standards that we are known for. We have contacted the location about your experience and we will be in the restaurant to look at the problem. The Beach House Bar & Grill offers the best of the beach life & culture. Great food, island-inspired drink menu, kid & pet friendly laid back atmosphere.
This place reminds me of so many places I have been in south Florida and down toward the keys. Very casual and easy. Food was decent, as you would expect, not great...but certainly good for the money. Staff could benefit from a little more training as our server was gone alot and the place was not very busy.

An excellent pub, on the second floor of a building, which like others right on the Lake Pontchartrain shoreline, has no ground floor. You take scenic steps up to the pub, or head underneath it and take an elevator up. The street level area has seating areas, and the interior of the 2nd floor pub has seating, but the most sought-after location is on the second-story veranda with splendid views of the lake and Causeway. The pub grub is good but not great, but brats with sauerkraut and hot Dusseldorf mustard are tasty and appropriately prepared: simmered in beer and then browned slightly. Dozens of beers are on draught, including local craft breweries, out-of-staters. and some international. This being October, the owner (who selects every draught he sells) had two German Oktoberfest draughts, and one US Oktoberfest. The draught Guinness is--I believe--$4.50 the pint (half the price you pay for the same Guinness at many a Houston or San Francisco drinking establishment. No ciders on draught, but my charming companion was able to get a can of English Strongbow. When you combine the excellent and extensive selection of draughts, low prices, friendly environment, and spectacular views, this place is hard to equal, let alone surpass. Highest recommendation. I should also note that while the food selection is quite limited, they serve food late, unlike most of the local restaurants in Mandeville, which stop serving at 2000 to 2200 even on Fridays and Saturdays.

"World-famous hamburgers".
The burgers are fantastic and the other offerings on the menu do not disappoint - above average taste and good value.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit on Easter Sunday. The restaurant is very attractive. The employees are very friendly and helpful. We received excellent service from Izzy. Smoked Fish Dip appetizer was especially nice. We will definitely be back!

BB menu is the most diverse menu anywhere, without being huge like chain restaurants. Happy hour is great, Martini Tuesdays has the best martinis in town. The service is great - ask for Emmy. I have several favorites, starting with the turkey burger, lemon chicken, Mediterranean Pasta, and grilled vegetables - not all at once. Outdoor covered seating also .

We had a turkey burger and a chicken bbq sandwich and both were nothing special. Beer and wine was a reasonable price. We would choose elsewhere next time.
