Burger restaurant located by the sea side in Tjuvholmen in Oslo. Friendly atmosphere, fantastic burgers, chunky milkshakes and a lively bar scene.
We had «An offer you canât refuse», which was a burger with Tallegio cheese, portobello mushroom fried in butter and balsamico, red onion, lettuce and herb majo. We had sweet potato fries as well. The burger didnât differ much from any burger I have eaten before at other places. I had expected some more because the restaurant claims that their burgers are of high quality. I presume the hamburgers would have been better if they were made freshly on the spot , which they werenât.The fries were a little more fried than we preferred. The service was quite all right, but a little too hasty.Average minus for the food.Look for more reviews by MulleEllum.Hi there MulleEllum! Sorry for our late response. I was certain i had replied to your feedback, but obviosly i didn't. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear our burgers didn't meet up with your expectations. Our burgers are made out of meat from Jæren in Norway and then minced by Albert Idsøe in Stavanger. This is high quality meat that we're very proud of. That's why we're truly sorry your burger wasn't as good as you expected. We will take a closer look at this. Again, our biggest apologies and thank you for letting us know. We are now closed the whole month of July due to renovations, but we will be open again as usual from August 2nd.
This is the place to go if you want tasty burgers, made of real meat, or a veggie one!We were a party of 8 and ordered different burgers; with blue cheese, bacon, pistacchio nuts (!) and crispy parmesan cheese.Order fries on the side with truffles or parmesan/ parsley dust! Very pleasant waiter :)!

The Local is a natural social arena at Fornebu. It is a unique destination where you can feel ease, but also celebrate, have fun with friends and spend quality time with your family. We prefer products with a local history and high quality. We should know
Two restaurants in one. An a la carte part and a pizza part. We had pizzas and a couple of beers while waiting for a concert. Quite pricy, but nothing ot of the ordinary for the Oslo area. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful. The locale gives you "cold" feeling, kind of industrial or like sitting in a large airport terminal or something. It is not warm and cozy. Located in the middle of a distinct business district.Dear Lars,Thank you for Your kind rewiev. Next time, try our a la carte restaurant The Local Kitchen, and The Bar for the best coctails. We promise a cozy feeling. Book table in advance if its a concert going on on Telenor Arena. Welcome back.Best regards Ragnhild PrytzSales managerThe Local

Serving authentic, smoked BBQ with a lotta heart & southern hospitality. Along the Akerselva river down from Vulkan and Mathallen.
Been there several times and cannot decide if it is worth returning. Food is nice but nothing super, never been able to test the renowned brisket. Fried chicken is average, Mac and cheese overcooked and lumpy. For the average of Oslo it's not bad but nothing to compare with a real U.S. diner
