Sat outside on a beautiful summer evening, surrounded by the ornamental plants and flowers in the plaza where the restaurant sits on Chagrin Boulevard. I ordered the Lola, a delicious burger with Symonâs Signature Pickled Onions with Cheddar Cheese. The burger was smaller, but enough when you order a side dish. I had the Rosemary Fries, skinny slices of heaven that capped off a nice meal.

This location was very clean and had plenty of TVs, like they do. The food was typical of any B-Dubs. Our server, Brandon, was really good. We never had an empty drink, our order arrived correctly, and he cleared our dirty plates. We would return to this location based on his service.

A few family members and I stopped in here for lunch and to catch up. Nice setting to just relax, talk, laugh, watch tv and play a few games. Good place for kids also, but maybe about 20-30 games to play. Menu wasn't that big, simply and plain but a good selection..
Went there with my wife and a friend on a rainy day. We were in town and wanted to get a fast bite to eat and a few drinks. We arrived there at Happy Hour (3-7 pm). We came through the back door and sat ourselves at a booth. The bar had about 15 people sitting, drinking and eating. It was not terribly loud, just people having a good time. We sat and talked about 5 minutes, and no service? We finally figured that we needed to go up to the bar and order our drinks. The Bartender was the server as well. No problem. Beers were $2. They were cold and tasty. We went back up and ordered. I ordered the 1/2 lb Super Scalpers Bigger Boy with fries and my wife got the fish sandwich. I could not believe how good the prices were! The burger was cooked great . My wife liked the fish. The fries were crispy, not soggy & greasy. Not like the overpriced place in Solon I reviewed earlier. If you don't mind a tavern atmosphere, and like basic bar food, this place is definitely one to visit. Just remember, if they are short staffed, just go up to the bar and order.

My sisters and I had a birthday gathering for one of our sister's at Bar Louie on a Saturday afternoon. The place was just about completely empty and I can understand why. It seemed like a nice restaurant, but that is where it ended. We waited for about 15 minutes to be waited on for our drink and food order. the drinks were served in an orderly time, but the food took forever to come out. My meal was good, but I would have enjoyed it more if it was hotter. Must have sat back in the kitchen waiting for the other orders to be finished. Now for my biggest complaint. Once the food and drinks were served, we never saw our waitress again. Never asked how our meals were, never came back to see if we needed refills on the drinks or water. Mind you, the place was dead. When we received our bill, that is when I realized why the service was so terrible. The Gratuity was added to the bill, the waitress did not have to do anything else because she already received her tips.

Our Wait Staff was split across several rooms that were not near each other. Therefore there was no wait staff to help you - bad management decision. waited 15 minutes to see a server to ask for a to go box. Onion soup was good. Never told of specials on St Patricks day and found out about them when the table next to us was served a special.Burgers nothing worth the price

We(5 of us), went there for dinner to celebrate my Sister's birthday. We were seated immediately, which I thought was somewhat odd given it was close to 6pm on a Friday evening and the place was not full. After being seated our waiter came over to take our drink orders. It took him every bit of ten minutes to bring three glasses of water and two iced teas. The water tasted like it came out of a rusty pipe. He then disappeared for another five minutes and reappeared to take our appetizer order, which was the stuffed mushrooms 4 of them for nine dollars, and onion rings for the others in our party. The appetizers came out- mushrooms were horrible and the onion rings were huge but only had a small piece of onion in them and were deep fried and had no flavor. I ordered my usual N.Y. Strip which was a 14 ounce serving. My girlfriend ordered the filet , my mother the pork chop, my sister and her friend the sirloin. The salad along with rolls and sweet butter came out next. You could smell the chemicals in the salad, obviously bag lettuce. I ordered balsamic vinaigrette, my girlfriend ranch, my sister and her friend ordered the same and my mother ordered Italian. My girlfriends ranch tasted like mayonnaise, and the balsamic vinaigrette was the consistency of thick gravy with no flavor. The dinners arrived a short time after we finished our salad, everyone seemed pleased with their meals as they were done according to how they ordered them. Mine however was not. My steak was ordered medium rare, it was clearly medium, and I have to say- did not look like a traditional N.Y. Strip cut. This one was longer and thinner. Normally- a medium rare steak will be fairly charred with grill marks on the outside and med. rare inside and there will be juice on the plate. This steak was too lightly colored outside and overdone inside. I informed the waiter and he took it back and brought me another one shortly thereafter. This one was no better than the first one. I asked him to take it off the bill. He apologized but offered no alternative, such as something else off the menu. My girlfriend offered some of her filet , which was wonderful, and cooked perfectly. Now, it's been my experience that when food is returned to the kitchen for whatever reason, the manager always comes out and asks if there was a problem and apologizes and offers to either get you something else or take it off your bill. The manager never came. As we were leaving, the manager was behind me and I told her that I had to send 2 steaks back because they were not cooked properly. She stood there and proceeded to tell me that the first steak was cookd properly, and when I interrupted her to tell her it was most certainly not- her exact words were to me" Do you want to let me finish talking ". From a manager??? She then said-"I have no control over the cow". So she knew the steaks went back and never came to the table to apologize. If I owned that restaurant- she would be looking for work elsewhere. Now I understand why the place was not full, and their Mentor location shut down. Never again !!

We went out Saturday night instead of Sunday to have dinner. we both had a drink, corned beef dinner and all the trimmings such as potatoes, carrots, and cabbage. the portions were significant, hot, and well presented. service was excellent. a bit pricey, but for what we had and it being a holiday dinner, it was expected. the location was clean, and lit with an ambiance to be expected for the time of day.ArmyVet95BV5,Thank you for the 5 star review! I am glad you enjoyed the corned beef dinner for St Patrick's Day celebration. Join us for Happy Hour 7 days a week 3 pm - 6 pm.Thank you,Mark HarperGeneral Manager

First time Iâve ever been to Melt after hearing about it so many times. The atmosphere is fun. The menu has LOTS of choicesâespecially for us vegetarians. Huge beer and cocktail list. Only problem was the service was slow. Understaffed for sure. I understand this is a long-standing issue.Still a great sandwich and good soup.
