Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Lincoln. Named after Abraham Lincoln, this state capital is a great place for children, history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts. Soak in the panoramic view of the city from the observation tower of the 400-foot high capitol building, whose white stone Art Deco spire can be seen from miles around. Then take a tour of the building and its grounds, where you'll find a Lincoln monument created by the same artist who sculpted the famous Lincoln statue in Washington, D.C. While you're on a history roll, visit the Governor's Mansion, whose Georgian Colonial exterior belies the varied architectural styles inside, and be sure to see the collection of dolls representing the state's first ladies dressed in their inaugural gowns. Kids will love the Folsom Children's Zoo & Botanical Gardens, where they can circle the zoo in a miniature train and see over 300 animals living among spectacular gardens. For some outdoor fun, head to one of the city's beautiful parks, the largest of which is Wilderness Park, whose hiking, biking and equestrian trails will keep you on the move for hours.

The restaurant's decor was very different in a positive way. The staff was welcoming and very attentive to our table. Unfortunately, we found the food to be fair even though the menu looked very tasty. Many of the dishes lacked flavor and appeared to come out of a frozen box and then heated up, such as the crispy shrimp tacos.

Visited Single Barrel for the second time and was blown away by both the food and the staff!!Our server was Paige.. can not rave enough about her. Not only was she attentive and professional, but went the extra mile to accommodate our menu changes. Also, a shout out to John the barkeep for recommending a fab bourbon to a newbie (me) and rushing out additional beverages when needed. We both substituted ribeyes for the butter toasted NY strip (upcharge) and it was oh, so worth it. Definitely a gem in Lincoln!

With amazing people, astonishing local food, and outstanding service, the Piedmont Bistro by Venue is the neighborhood favorite you can trust and love. Serving everything from breakfast and brunch to lunch and dinner, step inside our welcoming dining room
We were a group of 4 coming for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere is modern and sophisticated. The service was excellent. We ordered brussel sprouts and fried beets for the appetizers and they were both wonderful. I love beets and the fried beets at the Piedmont Bistro is the best preparation of beets I have ever had. For the main dish, I had salmon benedict and it was perfect. I can't wait to go back to the Piedmont Bistro. Next time I am there, I will be sure to order the fried beets again!

Restaurant was pretty empty, we decided to sit at a high top table in the bar area. Sat for 15 min without anyone greeting us. Turns out the older woman bar tending was supposed to be taking care of us, but couldnât be bothered because she had a total of 2 people sitting at the bar. When we finally flagged another server to help us, it took 40 min to get 2 small pizzas. Pizza was good, but service was terrible!I am sorry to hear that you received poor service on your visit to our restaurant. We pride ourselves on delivering a great experience along with great pizza. I would like to gather some more details from you about your visit, so that can provide coaching to the correct parties. Please reach out to me at [email protected] you for your feedback, for if people don't let us know when we aren't great, we can't take steps to get better.Mike Dansky - General Manager

We chose Yiayia's over a few other places while visiting Lincoln and we came away pretty disappointed. The service was slow, if not nonexistent, the pizza was about as good as a take and bake pizza, and the prices were high for what it was. We definitely won't be back.

We were pleasantly surprised with HopCat with its amusing decor and vast array of beers on tap. We had come from another pub nearby whose beer selection was limited and whose burgers had bizarre and unappetizing flavors. Josh was our extremely helpful waiter who knew the beers and provided good advice. I had a flight of 3, 2 of which were excellent. I had the Buddha Bowl, which was vegetarian and delicious. My husband's burger was perfectly prepared and scrumptious. Definitely recommend HopCat, a standout in this neighborhood filled with pubs..

I stopped in here tonight while in the area, it was a close walk from where I was staying. I went with a small order of gumbo and a small order of fettuccine. They were both equally delicious. Even with two small portions it was still way more than enough food. I ended up with leftovers at the end. I kind of figured it would be too much food, but just couldn't decide what to get. You won't be disappointed, give it a try if your looking to try something new of different.

Because it was our first visit we were a little unsure on whether we were to seat ourselves or not. We spotted the written info just as the friendly bartender greeted us and directed us. Our food was good, no complaints there. However, our server was not interested. I am not sure if it was her general disposition or if it was just with us. She never inquired on whether everything was ok. Other servers seemed engaged and even greeted us. It won't keep us from eating here if we are in the area again, but we would hope for a different server. There are plenty of other choices in the area to try!

Creative comfort food. Hand crafted beer. High quality service in a casual atmosphere.
Perfect eatery if you want big steak, fish or chicken or a smaller meal. I had the steak and it was outstanding. Great for families. Comfortable atmosphere and casual dining. Not cheap but reasonably priced for dish size.

Perfectly cooked salmon w/ coleslaw per serves suggestion. Hubby's sirloin was tender and tasty. Beer cheese soup thick and creamy. All had a touch too much salt but still delish! Very versatile menu. Good service and very generous portions. The spinach artichoke appetite was super and loved the beer bread! Stop here for sure!
