Reviews on Bar food in Lihue, Hawaii, United States. Lihue, Kauai's capital city, is also served by the island's only airport, making it the most popular port of entry to Kauai and a hub of industry on this small island. However, Lihue retains its island charm and emerald beauty despite its urbanization. Spend the day sunbathing and dipping into the temperate waters at Kalapaki Beach before enjoying a luau at Kilohana Plantation. Step out of town to witness breathtaking Wailua Falls cascading over tiered stone to a drop of 80 feet.

Shutters Lounge is a satisfactory option for drinks or meals while staying at Kauai Beach Resort, as long as you aren't in a hurry. Apart from being a little over-priced, our main difficulty was sometimes feeling ignored by the servers, despite being very generous tippers. It could be difficult to access menus (they seemed to continually run out...), and several times we experienced extremely long delays trying to catch the eye of a server to request menus, then again to order, then again to access cutlery. They did not offer condiments once the food arrived, and disappeared instantly before we could ask for cracked pepper or ketchup. We had to get out of our seats and hunt for a staff member to request the basics.Just to clarify - it was not a busy evening. Most tables were empty, and there were more servers than customers.Once food did arrive, it was usually quite nice.

After eating here twice, I would say that itâs great if youâre hungry but the food is just average. The staff do their job adequately but could certainly be friendlier. Drinks are expensive, and the happy hour mai tais (at $6) werenât very good. Unfortunately this is the only option for lunch at the Kauaâi Beach Resort.

All ingredients from the island are in the Mai Tai. Amazing. Stop at Gaylords plantation. Don't forget to do the free rum tasting.

We came here twice after dinner while on the beautiful island of Kauai. Easy walking distance from the Marriott. Fun bartenders, fun vibe, nice local hang out! Good drinks, pool tables, foosball, karaoke. Great place to hang out at after a day of exploring!

We enjoyed happy hour. There are .25 wings, Fish Tacos and other happy hour options. Everything was very tasty. There are many great happy hour beverage options. It is a small place in a shopping center and you have the option of sitting outside. We also placed a to go order for our teenagers and they were very happy with the food. It is a very casual place and the staff is helpful

Lilikoi is sort of across the road from the Marriott Kauai Beach Club, although it's a bit of a walk. We visited a couple of times, once for lunch and again for an afternoon drink. There's a comfortable upstairs deck and good happy hour snack and drink options.

Other than our friendly waitress, this was a wasted chunk of dough. Food looked and tasted like it was all straight out of the box. Zero flavor on any of our plates. Place was empty. Youâd be much better off taking a few steps next door to âDukeâsâ.

Restaurant overlooks the lovely grounds and the beach/ocean. Nice to see vegetarian options. We went for brunch and were given a coffee pot when we ordered coffee for three. Nice choices from the menu and a breakfast buffet with some typical items along with a good variety of fresh fruit and muffins.

A favorite of both locals and visitors with an appealing menu selection and friendly staff. We offer something to please everyone. Sports viewing, live music, dancing, trivia night and karaoke (select nights). Happy Hour and food specials daily. Family fr
We stopped for lunch and ordered 2 burgers and a BLT. Service was very good and the burgers were hand-pressed thick burgers made from good quality local beef. The BLT had a good amount of bacon, but for some reason the bottom slice of toast was wet.Rob's is a sports bar with a local vibe. It was very busy and the quality and quantity of the food we saw being carried by looked good.I plan to return to Rob's in the future to try a few other dishes, but the hamburgers are really good.

On the sand at Kalapaki Beach, Dukeâs is dedicated to legendary surfer Duke Kahanamoku, Hawaiiâs Ambassador of Aloha. The restaurantâs open-air design offers stunning, sweeping ocean views while the 30 foot waterfall plunges into a koi pond below that mea
Wonderful setting, great service, wonderful food and salad bar is worth getting. Although we were stuffed, 4 of us split the Hula Pie as it had been suggested by a friend. Absolutely delicious and because we were now way over full, we strolled the grounds of the Marriot and the beach and it was delightful. We ate at the upstairs restaurant.
