The hotel we stayed at recommended this spot after our show at The State Fair was cancelled. We went about 3:30 and the only customer s were at the counter, so we took a table. It is a counter service place, pick up a menu, seat yourself, order and pay at the counter. The service would be my only complaint. The girl at the counter could not even pay attention while I was ordering. She was too busy with the regulars at the counter, I had to stop a couple of times to wait for her attention.They do have wait staff to bring food to your table, but also not friendly, or attentive kind of drop and run.Food was very good. We had jalapeno popper pizza, baked in a stone oven! Loved it, highly recommend. We so had wings great smokey flavor, enjoyed the food. They also have live music but we didn't stay long enough to check it out. Another tip the place filled up quickly when folks got off work.

My wife and I stopped here on the recommendation of someone at the local distillery. We had been told the food was among the best in town. We went at about 2.30pm, walked inside and stood at the empty hostess station. And stood. And stood. Wait staff were scurrying around like ants, not a smile to be seen or an acknowledgement of our presence. As a few more folks lined up behind us, I mentioned to Mrs. P that perhaps they didn't want our business. We were finally seated and a young girl, probably in her teens, came over to take our drinks order, which were then promptly delivered. We ordered an appetizer to share and our lunch choices. After a reasonable time, the lunch came out but not the app. "They forgot your appetizer," our waitress told us. Never mind, I said, this will do. As we tucked into our meals, we discussed both the outstanding food and the miserable service, the latter being evident throughout the restaurant. As we were talking about how much of a tip might be in order, our server came back, and I asked her what was going wrong there that day and why was no one smiling. Her honest reply was that there was a big concert that night and they were busier than usual for that time of day, and that many employees had requested off for the same concert. She was sincere and seemed happy that we asked what was up. We would definitely go again, as the food was terrific. PS, we tipped her extra.

Went for a dinner on a Sat night and was worried it would be crowded. It wasn't, we got seated right away. I had the fried chicken and sweet potato fries. The reviews were right, the fried chicken was excellent and totally worth the wait. The fries were meh. Service seemed a little uninterested. Husband had the gouda burger and it looked really good. Price was exceptional for all the food we got.

Stopped in for dinner on our one night in town and had expectations since we've been to this restaurant in other cities. We were seated promptly despite the apparent busyness that was going on. We had enough time before our server showed up that we knew what we wanted so when she did show up we placed our drink order, an appetizer order and our two entrees. Drinks came in a reasonable amount of time but my wife's drink was wrong. Our appetizer came at the same time as our entrees. No one came by to check on us until we were almost done eating. I informed the guy who checked on us that our female server had disappeared and he said he was our server, even though he had not done anything but bring us our food so long ago. I had one refill on my drink and we were out of there. The service was just awful.
