Bartender friendly and made suggestions for appetizers and wine.this was first visit so appreciative of suggestions. 2 glasses of a house wine was $18 during happy hour seemed steep. We had two tacos that were pretty tasty . Daughter had blood orange margarita that just had a flat taste and if it had alcohol in it it was a very small amount. The piece of orange in glass was not a blood orange so not sure where the name came from. The restaurant is very nice, roomy and good atmosphere but just lacking in anything to make me want to return.

Fun, family friendly, sports oriented restaurant that has the best wings in town! Great for games, meeting friends, or a meal with the whole family! Wings. Burgers. Oysters. We also have salads, sandwiches, wraps and more.
My go to before every KU sporting event that I attend, is Jefferson's. Its got a great fun/college/laid back atmosphere. But, the wings are SOOOOO good. I get the traditional HOT buffalo style wings and the flavor is delish. Always piping hot and cooked to perfection - get the fries instead of chips. Fries are pretty tasty too. For the first time, we tried the deep fried mushrooms at our last visit (usually get the fried pickles) and they were good too - seemed to be to be hand battered - not some crap out of the freezer. Great flavor. Love the fried pickles too, although did not get them during last visit. Beer is always ice cold and staff (usually college kids) are always very friendly and fun. Highly recommend.Hey, thank you so much! We appreciate your business!

The restaurant and bar, probably the whole Oread Hotel is very nicely designed. The walls are decorated with a sort of a stone, so if you visit the place in winter it feels really cold if there is no fireplace. The night we came to the restaurant/bar they were full and the manager Sergio arranged a room for us which we appreciated but without any heating? A bit chillyThe service was slow, we waited a long time for our food, much too long. We were six, and our reviews about the food were mixed. The steaks were good, you pay for sides. The Osso Bucco was excellent, the Fettucini was not tasty at all. We shared desserts, the Tiramisu was good. Mr Sergio did his best to make us happy, but for the money we paid, it was not really enough. I can summarize our experience by saying that the manager was excellent but not so the waitress and the long time it took to get our food.Dear Betina,Thank you, we appreciate your comments as we are always working on ways to improve - service, food & beyond. Our beautiful limestone building does get pretty chilly in the winter - sadly our fireplaces are only located in rooms we have private events. Sergio is an excellent manager but we apologize as we know it is all aspects that lead to a wonderful evening. We do hope you will come back and see us again for a new and better experience.

I was in town for a family wedding, we chose this place for lunch the day before, and enjoyed the food. I know it's a burger pub, but I was craving the fish and chips and they were very good.

This is in a great location. You can get good food, and you do not have to go downtown or to a strip center. The space is very well laid out - lots of open space and good lighting. We go there a lot when there is a KU game on TV.All around nice place.

Food was just good, service was only good. It would not be a "have to go back" spot on my list. Food was just good, service was only good. Full restaurant and brewery located in the historic Warehouse Arts District in Lawrence, KS. Beer and Food Menus updated on our website.
We did not stay for dinner, but I did sample multiple appetizers, and they were fabulous! Two of them were really unique and outstanding. I would go back just to have these appetizers again. By the way, the beer was awesome, too. We were there for a happy hour. The brewery itself is very pleasant. It is quite large with lots of seating. The two appetizers that I really loved were the pretzel bites and the snack mix made with almonds and shredded wheat. The break that made the pretzel bites was fantastic - it was a little sweet and very fresh. It is served with a spreadable pimento cheese, and it was delicious. The second appetizer that I loved was a simple snack mix of shredded wheat and almonds. It was the spices that made it so tasty. It had a sweet heat that was delicious and addicting. Next time I would stay for dinner.

We spent a couple of hours during a hot Monday afternoon, drinking wine and ordering several plates to share. Our server was great and attentive. The Brussels sprouts are outstanding! The former bank building is so interesting! We hope to return some day. Oh, and the goat cheese-cheesecake...YUM!

My daughter had the Artichoke Tomato Tortellini & I had the Sonoma Shrimp Fettuccine. We both really liked our food, although my dish ended up being a little more unhealthy that I anticipated;) Unfortunately, it was so loud that it was a little hard to hold a conversation (a Thursday evening around 6 PM). I also did not enjoy walking through cigarette smoke to enter & leave the restaurant, but it just may be something I have to get used to when visiting Lawrence?
