I've been in Thailand with my friends already several times, traveling from North to South, but never actually being to Koh Samui!A travel rich with good surprises also this time: we've discovered Royal Beach Samui resort and Quote tapas bar while we were walking down the quiet part of Lamai Beach, the bit after the Grandfather and Grandmother Rock. They had a beautiful set-up, with a loungey atmosphere and sofas on the beach. Luckily it was just happy hour (must have been around 5pm), so we've stopped for theiramazing cocktails we've sip watching the waves. Then we've tried their tapas, which were recommended by their manager. Size was enough, all ingredients fresh then we've decided to be back at The Quote after a tour we did in Koh Phangan. The second time we came by for their BBQ night because we saw their ad on facebook. Lovely set-up with live music, good food and friendly staff. We've really enjoyed our evening. Will be back!

Was staying in chaweng and visited Lamai for an evening. The moment we arrived near Lamai, it started raining heavily. Our Songthaw dropped us near Outback and we took shelter here. The ambience appeared fantastic so we decided to have drinks here. The overall feel is very nice of the resort. Had some food as well as the chicken Satay and fried chicken were so yum. Drinks were priced ok too. Loved our evening here. Thank you so much for your great review. We are so glad that we managed to help you enjoy your time in Lamai under circumstances that were unexpected, we hope you have a great time for the rest of your holiday and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

Pool league night against neighbouring bar. Nice beer, great cocktails, friendly welcome from Kung and Mark and the team.Good food availability and excellent spot for breakfasts.A couple of other bars next door and opposite add to the atmosphere at this South end of Lamai beach. Make the effort (5-10 minutes walk) for a great night out in a different part of Lamai beach.A good welcome guaranteed.

Good food, reasonable prices (spaghetti was expensive), friendly staff.Fantastic spot right on the beach creates a lovely atmosphere.Very close to our hotel so just walked in as passing on the first night as "this will do" went back the second night too!We had a birthday input group so I asked for a cake and song, said they had no candles but five minutes later come out with a waffle with candles on and disbelief staff singing

Checked out the Shamrock for lunch and settled for the roast and a pint of Guinness and the chicken kiev with a pina colada. As usual the Irish did not disappoint. Meals were great and the service was the same. Could be back soon!

KON-TIKI was an amazing experience. Kay, the manager and his staff were so friendly and kind. The food here is GREAT. I eat there at least once a day--breakfast, lunch or dinner. You can't go wrong! Itâs very hard to find real, authentic Italian food in most countries outside of Italy, never mind across the world in Thailand. Seeing a traditional âcacio e pepeâ on a menu so far from Italy was definitely a surprise so we just had to give it a try. It definitely didnât disappoint! The amazing food along with truly welcoming service made our two visits ones we will not forget in a hurry. I just wish we had more time to sample more off this restaurants menu!

Finding this place made our week, the staff were fab, quick service, nothing too much trouble, remembered how you liked your drink made, food on offer if required. Moved tables to accommodate a group of us with no problems, and quick service.We loved the staff who were all just sooo nice and the cocktail menu - well good luck getting through it there are only 131 !! - we tried quite a few......Try a Captain Marvel shot if nothing else - amazing

I have never tried oysters before, so now was the time. Oyster Bar X has several different types of oysters. We tried Tasmanian, Normandie and Barron Point. Waiter knew what he was talking about and explaned the differces between them, i still dont like oysters, but had a nice experience with this place. They also serve handcrafted import beer, and their own wine.
