Ate here two nights in a row with good friends. Over the two nights we had cheese board and Chicken Wings, monkfish taco, pulled pork taco, crab claws, prawns, chicken taco and then some...Staff were brilliant - chatty, informative, witty. The best. Would advise visiting if in Lahinch.

We stopped then to lahinch and it was very busy place to eat. So we went to a few places and they were full of people so much so we nearly gave up until we walked up to the atlantic and shamrock hotel and met a well dressed man who was holding a cup of water with lemon in it. I asked him where can we eat so he brought us into the shamrock hotel and told us there were two areas that were empty. We were so delighted so we sat down and ordered our meals and it was tasty by all round. The children had half roast of the day beef with veg and chicken nuggets and chips, fish and chips and the adults had chicken sandwich special with cappuccino and I had veg soup and you get huge 2 slices of tasty brown bread with butter and we shared a jug of water for the meal. Very quick in serving and there is colouring for the children well its in the menu so you have to have a search for it but they do supply crayons so dont be shy in asking.

Rooms were perfect size, clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had dinner at the bar, and it was the best fish & chips I had for my whole visit to Ireland. Not the standard beer batter, this had more substance and was delicious. Breakfast was also good. Great that it had it's own parking lot as well. If staying in Lahinch, I would highly recommend the Atlantic Hotel!

A couple went to dinner on Saturday around 6.30pm. Luckily a table for 2 was available but we saw larger parties waiting inside the door. Service was swift & efficient. Staff overall appeared school age bit were well trained. We asked to sit outside but no food served outside.... disappointing given the superb weather. Menu was limited but affordable. Food was good but not wow. One had burger & chips.... yummy, one had fish and chips which was enjoyable. The batter was not greasy & the fish appeared fresh. Overall a good feed in nice surroundings. They would make a killing if they could offer al fresco

We both ordered Irish stew the quality which will always reflect the beef used. On this occasion it was a little tough and chewy. The waitress was cheerful and the servings were generous. The atmosphere was compromised by the loud radio station playing in the background.

Had Salmon and it was so fresh and beautifully cooked. Not a big place but nice atmosphere. It was busy the night we went but all added to the feel of the place. Not too expensive and great quality of service.

Ordered the special of fresh crab claws with salad & fries. Crab claws were served in a sauce not specified & were not very fresh or juicy. Sauce was warm & my salad was placed in the centre of the plate so it was nicely wilted!! & surrounded by warm sauce. Expensive for what I got. Nice bar for a deink

Four of us ate here on Saturday 24th August for lunch we were greeted by the bar lady who gave us menus and explained about the specials she was lovely very friendly and helpful a younger girl came to take our order and was very pleasant too. The food was delicious very fresh hot and tasty very reasonably priced too. It was very busy but had no problem making us fabulous baileys coffees after we ate. We went up to the counter to pay and chatted the bar lady again who told us all about the charity biker festival that was on for cancer and about the September festival and local sites. She seemed busy they both did but still took time to chat. Very welcoming place very clean and great food. 10 out of 10 in all areas especially staff. We will be back sometime to check out all the sites of Clare.Hi Tigue35,thanks for taking the time to leave us the lovely review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your visit and in particular your baileys coffees. We would be delighted to see you back again sometime in the future. Kind Regards, David.
