The Glenmore Hotel was built by Brewers Tooth & Co in 1921 and has been an Aussie icon ever since. It is one of the last surviving pre- Harbour Bridge buildings on Cumberland Street, north of the Cahill Expressway. The site is known to have been occupied
Stopped for lunch post Bridge Climb. It was too busy to find a table on the roof top, so we found another spot on the next floor down which was better because we could hear each other talk! The menu was great for both adults and kids, good choice of beer too.The staff were great, and very accommodating to squirrel my surprise birthday cake away in a fridge and produce it later on with a knife, plates and napkins. Much appreciated!

Being located at a convenient spot facing a nice view near Milsons Point train station, this club is popular among locals, especially families. As usual, it's crowded on weekend. Food was average, a norm for such club. If it's not as noisy, it might be a nice place for gathering venue with friends.

Tucked down an alley and hidden underground, Palmer & Co. is a time warp to the era of prohibition with its bootleggers, sly-groggers and the like. The 1920s-style clandestine bar serves up an extensive menu of spirits and specially crafted cocktails usin
It's sort fo hidden. If you don't know that it's in a small alley there are chances you will not find it. When we entered the bar, the first thing that hit was music which transports you to another era straight away. The ambiance is fantastic! It's like you have time traveled into the 1920s, the music, the decor, the servers in their unique attire (all had different looks but1920s theme going on), the lighting all serve the purpose of transporting you to the 20's. They have a live singer too. It was jam-packed and there was not a single table or even a spot to stand was available. But we got lucky within 10 minutes and got a spot on a small standing table. The cocktails are great I tried a couple and all were around $20. My favorite was Mercy Me. Whatever food we tried was also good. If you don't get a table then it might be a little troublesome, as me personally I don't like holding my drinks all evening long I need a spot (especially in an over crowded bar). My suggestion is to keep an eye on one of the standing tables and grab it quickly if someone is about to leave. That's what we did.Overall, we have loads of fun. It was a fun night. I would go there again for sure.

The Endeavour Tap Rooms; a brewery, bar & restaurant is a collaboration by the teams from Endeavour Vintage Beer Co and Applejack Hospitality. The venue follows both brands philosophies of using all-Australian, seasonally-harvested ingredients with no pre
Located in The Rocks area of Sydney, Endeavour offers some very good beer, which they make locally. They also have wine and cocktail available. We popped in while walking around Sydney, needed to quench our thirst. Unfortunately, there was an Oktoberfest celebration taking place across the street and the drunken revelry had spilled into the pub. I'd like to revisit Endeavour under more normal circumstances.Hi Max, Thanks for your feedback. You'll be pleased to hear that Oktoberfest is done for another year so we eagerly await you popping back in - this time with live music available Sat/Sun. See you soon.

Above the pub is their Brasserie, which serves a short and eclectic menu in a much more relaxed ambience than the pub proper.Service was prompt and attentive. Though the food I had was not exceptional, overall I considered it a very good dining experience.Thank you for joining us, Upstairs. Glad you enjoyed your visit and we look forward to welcoming you back!

We arrive at 6pm knowing our table must be free for 8pm service. We are advised that they need the table back at 7.30 - seriously. We argue for 8pm at 7.45pm we are told to finish up - we need the table back - you think?? Then when we try to split the bill we have to do our own maths - apparently dividing a bill in half is too difficult at 7.53pm when YOU NEED THE TABLE BACK. Never again.Firstly, please let me apologise for the experience you at The Botanist Kirribilli Friday night, I was a extremely saddened to hear of this and to know that's the impression you left with, which is a million and one miles from the experience we deliver here. I have just returned from annual leave and would be very grateful to get the opportunity to hear about your visit. If you wouldn't mind to reach out direct at [email protected] and provide me with a contact number so I can talk through this with you. I very much appreciate your time in advance. Warmest regards, Matty - General Manager
