We almost did not go inside because of the irritating loud music blasting out into the peaceful night at Kingscote, Kangaroo Island. So very glad we thought â what the heck, letâs give it a tryâ. Inside we found the staff friendly and a great atmosphere. We were assisted with our ordering and were served a fantastic meal with excellent wines. Thank you to everyone who contributed to a wonderful night.

The Fox & Firkin have done a great job with this pub. Itâs a very authentic British pub with some excellent renovations to make it comfortable and somewhat modern. You wonât find your standard Hahn or great northern on tap here, but instead youâll find British selections such as speckled hen.The food is fantastic here too. Bit more pricey for a pub, but itâs not just pub grub. The meals here are restaurant quality. Although $20 is expensive for a pie, the beef & guiness pie is freaking unbelievable!!!Suitable for functions upstairs or outside in undercover area. Also lots of seats outside and undercover too. Heating outside for cold nights too.

We came to the Greenock pub as first choice El Estanco was closed on Tuesday. What a pleasant surprise. It was a freezing cold day but we sat in the bar in front of the open fire and became toasty quite quickly. The food was a little slow coming out given the few customers but the schnitzel and pizza were super tasty and big serves. Would return an recommend. Thanks 284Cathyreview for taking the time to leave this lovely feedback! We're really glad you got the chance to give us a try and are even happier that you enjoyed it! Thanks for the recommendation and we hope to have you back in again soon!

Welcome to The Pickled Duck. A place to meet on the park, enjoy a meal with friends and have a ducking great time. Be spoilt for choice by our premium range of craft beers, spirits and wines while our friendly staff wet your wings with the delicious menu.
A lovely building, great restaurant setting, but oh so let down by food options. Pizzas and burgers the main food choices, and these were ordinary, small, not even accompanied by chips. Ordered a BLT sandwich, that was a kid size serve no chips. Pizzas didnât look too bad. But only small size. Good coffee. Hopefully the managers of this establishment will look at better food options and fill those empty seats. Donât both unless u only want a snak type eat. Could do so much better. Hi Anne P,Thank you for taking the time to leave us this feedback, it is really important in helping us improve! We will pass the information on about the food size as we would love to make sure all meals are enjoyable and satisfying! We would love for you to come try our brand new menu as we added a variety of new meals for all to enjoy!Again, thank you for the feedback and we do hope that you try us again in future!

We eat out in the local area often and this is not our first visit to the Largs Pier. Unfortunately on this occasion the experience was average. The young staff members were not overly friendly or interested - with the exception of the young barman. We ordered a dozen oysters natural and paid top dollar for them so we expected a top quality fresh entree. As soon as the plate was put on the table we could smell them - not rotten but certainly past their prime! We informed the waitress who simply said would you like me to take them away. Yes we replied, expecting an apology/refund /replacement/free drink/dessert or really any kind of response - but - that was it - she and the oysters disappeared forever. Then the mains came out - a $36 mixed grill, Fish of the day(salmon) and sticky ribs. The mixed grill was - in a word - ordinary. Dry pork belly, a little strip of roo, a sausage and a chop. Thats it - overpriced and underwhelming - tasteless even. So tasteless that I asked a waitress for some sauce. That never rolled up - and I never saw that waitress again either! The ribs were ok - but just ok and the fish was good and had no complaints from that meal. The word on the street is that this place is hit and miss - and it seems to be accurate. Managers and owners really need to take note of reviews and put a rocket up some of these kids working as so called hospitality staff. They make sure service is at least consistent and the staff a little more attentive. There are plenty of pubs in the area and we wont be returning to this one next week!

A Beautiful Newly Renovated Hotel, Pokie Free, Child Friendly and a Great Place to Hold your Next Function. Open 7 Days a week, for Lunch and Dinner(exluding Sunday evenings) with Breakfast on Sundays. Kids Eat Free Tuesday to Thursday. Great Happy Hours
Attending a job site in the area, my colleague and I decided the give the British a try, given neither of us had ever been there.Located right at the southern end of the Birkenhead Bridge, there is plentiful parking between the pub and the Port river. We were warmly greeted and invited to sit anywhere we wanted. Both of our meals were excellent, and the serves were quite large. Traditional pub lunch options as well as a couple of South African influenced dishes as well. There would be river views from the function spaces upstairs. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

New Nordic is a modern Australian restaurant inspired by Scandinavia. The cuisine is centered around the simple expression of the unique qualities of ingredients. New Nordic showcases modern Scandinavian styles in a brilliant setting.
This restaurant is one of several in the new cinema complex. The furniture and interior have that attractive clean cut and practical Scandinavian pine look. For Saturday lunch we shared a Nordic platter, which turned out to be a delicious mini smorgasbord. There was plenty to share including smoked venison, gravlax salmon, Vienna sausage, Swedish meatballs and two breads, rye and baguette. Costs were very reasonable and the staff were quick and friendly.
