I arrived on one night after hearing the radio ad earlier in the day. The owner sounded excited. I wish his staff shared his enthusiasm. As a new visitor to the restaurant they made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. On the other hand, the regulars seemed easy to identify by the care they received. Lots of TVs but only a few different things featured. It felt a little like a wanna be sports bar.

We have visited often over the years. We don't eat here very often, but that will probably change. We stopped for dinner the other night. This locally-owned bar and grill has a well-rounded menu for this type of joint. Check out my picture! Does that salad look like a bar salad?? Fun atmosphere with lots of TVs, pool tables, and darts. Sand volleyball courts/league in summer. Clean place with friendly staff.

Steve is a magician behind the bar, and the best I've ever seen at his job. I've not had anything but a great experience here. My wife and I come in about 2x a month, usually get some food, which is fine, but we enjoy the people and the staff. It is clean, beer is cold and fresh, and the game is always on. If you like to play slots, good luck, I've seen the entire row of machines in use for hours straight.Thank you for your kind review, StillmanValleyScott! Each time we've been here, a friendly bartender has always greeted us. We usually go here for a weekend late-lunch - I really like their chef salad with grilled chicken and their plain nachos (they have homemade chips!). My husband will only ever get the chicken tenders because they are thick and juicy, and he really likes the honey mustard they have.It's also a larger more open bar, so you can bring a group of people in for lunch or dinner without having to worry about space. It's usually pretty slow during lunch during the week.

We asked the bartender for a recommend appetizer and she suggested the beer cheese dip. It was one of the best dips of its kind. It came with freshly made tortilla chips and grilled pretzel bites. Our main entries were delicious as well.The attention to detail and unique decor was a bonus. We will definitely go back!

I go here every Thursday to meet friends. The bartenders are Great! The food is Great! One of the BEST bars down town Janesville...thank you Katy! (the owner) You've got to try one of the baked potatoes and be ready to share it - HUGE.

Stopped for lunch while on business in the area. Met by very polite staff and seated promptly in a comfortable booth. Server Kyra was personable and efficient. Ordered lunch combo of soup and sandwich. It was served together and tasted delicious. Portions were modest and just enough for a comfortable meal. Typical Applebee's in layout and menu. Here it is the people who make it special. Even got to talk to general manager who gave me a gift card good for a free appetizer on next visit.

This was a stop on a road trip from Florida to Minnesota. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere in this historic building near the river downtown. The burgers were fantastic, the beers were cold, and the employees were very friendly. If we are ever passing though Janesville again, we will definitely return!

Enroute back to Chicago, we stopped at this lovely Irish pub. Loved the Irish flags outside, the memorabilia inside, the booths, the tin ceilings, the Irish photos, the long wooden bar-great decor! And the menu is extensive and offered truly authentic Irish entrees. Loved being able to get bangers and mash, Irish rashers, and sharp Irish cheddar. Even the ground chuck burgers are delicious (get the Pub chips!) Prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly and efficient! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Based on Trip Advisor review ratings, including noting it is a local restaurant, decided to eat here. Itâs surrounded by your typical franchise eateries, and from all appearances looks a franchise, but the food indicated otherwise. Loved the Meatloaf nested on garlic mashed potatoes and covered with a unique, tomato gravy and ribbon onion rings. Delicious! Spouse really liked her Milwaukee burger and fries. If I didnât live 5 hours away, I would definitely return to try other menu items.
