Reviews on Bar food in Jamestown, New York, United States. Once known as "The Furniture Capital of the World," industry has long since deserted Jamestown, a sleepy town on the tip of beautiful Chautauqua Lake, a popular fishing and sailing destination. The town is the home of the Lucy-Desi Museum and Desilu Playhouse, both built in honor of the town's most famous daughter. Jamestown also contains The Audubon Center, which features a 600 acre nature sanctuary with five miles of observation and hiking paths and is the home of Liberty, a local bald eagle.

Had friends in from Florida who always go there and took me along. I really liked the charm. Mary, the owner, was very nice. Drinks were very reasonable. The juke box had some great music to choose from. Pool table. Very relaxed.

Most people would not take a trip to a bowling alley for their dinner so when I went for a burger, after bowling a few games, I was surprised to see a packed house. People usually know when there is a good thing in their neighborhood. On most evenings you had better make reservations or get there before six or you will have to wait for a place to sit.The night of my visit with friends I had an 8 oz. Angus Burger (7.95) with bacon (.75) and a loaded baked potato (2.95). The burger was good - but the loaded potato was over the top. A companion had the Prime Rib (petite cut -15.95-Queen cut - 17.95 and King cut-19.95). Her King cut was more than an inch thick and done to a perfect medium rare. Most appetizers and sandwiches are 7.95 to 9.95. Dinners range from 8.95 (bacon wrapped scallops or seafood stuffed mushrooms); fish fry (10.95); 10 oz. sirloin (13.95). Other menu items Yes they also have draft beer on tap; and yes! I will be back!

Been here several times with friends over the last few years. I enjoy the atmosphere and the chance to try different beers. The food is good but I do wish they would offer some meals with meat. From what I am told the owner is a vegetarian or vegan so he does not allow meat in the menu. It is small place that can get very crowded and loud at times. It usually has a very good crowd of older and younger professionals from around the area. Bartenders do need to mind the bar a bit better. I have waited up to 15 minutes to get a drink at times. Overall I do enjoy going there at least once or twice a month.Hello. I would like to personally thank you for the review. We're glad that you have chosen to unwind with us from time to time over the years. Situated in the heart of downtown Jamestown, NY, Pearl City Hops is a Gastro-inspired restaurant and tavern featuring local brewery creations and select regional fare. Our name pays homage to Jamestown's rich history in the glass manufacturing industry.
We had dinner when they first opened and had been wanting to try breakfast in the nice and comfortable dining room. Finally made it and we are glad we did. The service was very good and our breakfast choices were delicious. It is only slightly pricier than other local establishments and thatâs due to the lack of toast included with some breakfast items we noticed..a bit of a demerit, but weâll be back to try the stuffed French toast.miopinion,Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your visit to Pearl City Hops! We're glad to hear you enjoyed yourself. We hope to welcome you back again soon!Matt ClarkAssistant General Manager

On an off-season Saturday, we could not find anything that was open for lunch. We went into the Cherry Lounge and found that their kitchen was open. The menu has many choices (sandwiches, snacks, burgers, etc.). There were only a couple of other customers so we had a chance to speak with employees, who were friendly and welcoming. We returned later that night for drinks. The bar was full of people and the TVs had the various sports events showing. The night bartender was also very friendly. The drink prices are reasonable and the chicken wings are AWESOME!!!! If you are a wing person, and are in Jamestown, you have to stop in and grab some.

Family friendly restaurant and bar located conveniently across the street from Northwest Savings Bank Ice Arena and The Best Western Hotel.
After being on a motorcycle all day we checked into our hotel and took a small walk to Shawbucks. The bartender (not sure of her name, sweet redhead) took our orders never let our drinks sit empty long. We didnât eat but he food we saw coming from the kitchen looked amazing.

My mom, grandma, and I stopped in here for lunch. It was FREEZING in the restaurant, which is a big no-no for my grandma, but I'm so glad we stayed. The server was extremely friendly. She gave us recommendations for the most popular/her favorite dishes on the menu. My grandma (who's had three heart attacks) ordered her typical chicken tenders (because clearly she's a rebel). My mom and I decided to split two of the recommendations - the beef on weck and the meatball float. We both really enjoyed the beef on weck, but there was SO much meat on the bun it was a bit overwhelming. Neither of us could quite finish our halves. The au jus made the bun soggy immediately so it wasn't really the best dish to take home for leftovers. The meatball floatâ¦oh my god the meatball float. We LOVED this dish. It's so rare I find both meatballs AND sauce that I love so much. This place really nailed both. We both talked about how, even though my mom lives over an hour away, she needs to come back ASAP and get meatballs and sauce to go. For dessert, we were interested in the walnut pie. They were out, so we ordered a brownie. The server offered some caramel drizzle and walnuts to top the brownie and it really made the dish. The service, price, and food really impressed us and we'll be back.

Traveling on business in Jamestown and decided to try the highly recommended Forte. A small and intimate atmosphere with an eclectic menu in the heart of downtown, we each enjoyed a seafood entree - my associate had perfectly seared scallops on a creamy risotto bed and I enjoyed perfectly prepared salmon on a spicy, creamy risotto with spinach. Highly recommend.
