Visited with a party of nine while on vacation after reading good reviews. It was a Sunday night and the restaraunt was only about a third full.Took a while for waitress to arrive for drink orders, also took a while to return. She asked about appetizers which we did want but told her we would place order now due to the slow pace. Some orders arrived 45 minutes later, one more ten minutes after that and the last was brought out while everyone was finishing. Partial meals to some were served and the missing items brought later.Multiple requests for missing items were forgotten, I was told as they delivered fish and chips that they were out of tartar sauce and they offered vinegar instead, which never did arrive.A lot of standing around by our waitress and not sure what was going on in the kitchen for the food to take so long as most of the few people in the restaraunt were only having drinks anyways.Food was good but service couldnât have been any worse. Terrible way to kick off vacation in nearby Topsail Island.

My family and I came here late dinner after going to the county fair. We were promptly seated and served our drinks. Service was great and food was good. They have a new selection of hamburgers and ribs. Restrooms were clean.

We called to ask if they are offering the Memorial Day special for Veterans and active duty military. The Manager Roy told us he was honoring it even though his small franchise was not suppose to. We had called the one in Greenville, NC to be told they are not offering it at their location. We drove there to JAX and had a wonderful meal for myself and my wife. I had the hamburger, which was excellent cooked exactly as I ordered it. My wife had the fried catfish and it too was cooked to perfection. The food was delicious, the rolls were hot and tasty. Tea was real tea and strong enough to taste the tea unlike many restaurants now days watered down weak tea. Our salads were wonderful as well. Most of all we can't thank the manager enough for a wonderful Memorial dinner and our server "Kristina" was remarkable. She was very attentive, kept our drinks filled, bread coming out hot and our order was exactly as we ordered. GREAT MANAGEMENT ROY!!!

Marina Café is locally owned and has some of the best food in town. A must try is the crab did! Want a little romance take a cruise around the New River. It has a place to hold parties and a beautiful deck to eat outside weather permitting.

We had a bad experience here months ago and after emailing the general manager, he apologized and asked us to return and try them again on the house as he was correcting the issue with his staff. We did just that and he most certainly has kept it since! The service has been amazing and the food of excellent quality since he addressed the horrible service issues. We noticed the one shift manager is no longer there and we have had major improvements in our experience. Our family would highly recommend Old Chicago and the prices are reasonable for a larger family to go out without breaking your bank. We have anywhere from 5-8 with us at any time and we are very much under $90 total with a beer for us adults.

We go the Cheddars Trio Sampler and it was enough to be our dinner! We didnât know that before we ordered so we had already ordered entrees(Parmesan chicken entree and chicken tender entree). PLENTY of food! It was good and hot. The waitress was great! She was helpful and nice.

I hadn't stopped by in quite a while and ate lunch at the bar. I noticed the "FrickleBurger" on the menu and asked about it. Fried pickles on a burger with onins and "special" sauce. It was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Good beef, good bun, good pickles and accessories! I'll be back more often.Ale Yeah! We love the new Frickle Burger! Thanks for the 4 stars and the awesome review! We hope to see you again soon!

We were really looking forward to our visit because of the previous ratings on Trip Advisor and other sites, but sadly we were very disappointed. We paid top dollar for very mediocre food: all four meals were very poor quality. Enough said, we wonât be returning.
