First of all, don't look for this bar if you're not willing to walk a short ways through water and deal with a little mud. But we went to this bar with our friends and their five-year-old, so it's not that big a deal (and I'm pretty lazy). Of course, the location is exactly what makes this bar cool - it's hard to find and unassuming, so it keeps the foreign tourists at bay and the prices low. The staff are friendly and laid back, and the food is surprisingly good (I had a seafood calderada and a fantastic caja caipiroska). A lot of Brazilians go there to eat small river crabs and oysters at a good price. It's pleasant to sit around among the mangroves, watch the row boats drift by, bathe in the river, and smell the special smoke wafting over from the resting surfers. There's plenty to explore and no motorboats, so fun for kids as well. To find the bar, walk to the end of Maracaipe beach where the river flows into the sea. Hang a right (without crossing the river) and walk upstream a couple hundred feet to the bar. If you get worried, just ask for "Bar do Galo." All-in-all, this is a great activity to do while in Porto de Galinhas, and much less boring than your standard day at the beach.

The food is goid and the price is decent, but the service is very slow and inefficient. The bathrooms are clean and the structure is good.Don't get the service of "Luck Receptivo" (the main travel agency of the region), it's very expensive and they fool the clients

Bar do Marcao is a beach bar on one of the hottest beach spots around Porto de Galinhas / Ipojuca -- if you're looking for a good spot to throw back a few beers and enjoy the beach, this is it. You can order ice cold beers, drink a few, go for a dip and return to your table. Always draws a fun crowd.

We deliver one wonderful experience: In front of the restaurant we have natural pools!! Come to swim with the fishes and enjoy great tipical meals! All the structure you need to have a great day in praia do cupe! Cheers!
thought odd not finding any review of this restaurant.l could see only a picture under praia do Cupe reviews - http://www.tripadvisor.com/LocationPhotoDirectLink-g303461-d2327873-i114923089-Cupe_beach-Porto_de_Galinhas_Ipojuca_State_of_Pernambuco.html#last.Well, we loved Pontal do Cupe - but that I described on the other review. The "Bar da Praia" was our support for 3 times we went to that beach. We had some beers (ask for a cooler with 5 - there is enough ice to keep them cold). I recommend "queijo coalho" if you want to bite something while enjoying that amazing view of the natural swimming pools. Check when is the low tide in advance, and if you have a chance stay for lunch there (price was reasonable, serving a couple that don't eat too much). Structure is very good. Staff is very helpful, adjusting the umbrella, getting a table where you want . You may see the owner walking around - so you will make sure they are paying attention to the customer needs. Before you go home.. have a Mexican paletathanks for the feedback
