I'm absolutely in love with this place! My boyfriend and I stopped by for an early dinner. The restaurant is small, but so charming and warm. The corner in which we were seated, had what i believe were local artists pieces on the walls. I loved that, it gives you a sense of community. The service was great, we were greeted immediately. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food itself was delicious! 10/10 recommend the garlic bread. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time here, and will absolutely be back!

Small restaurant, well located near the Babe Ruth museum. After a visit, why not stop at the Corner Bistro and Wine bar. The menu card is small but offers nice food for a quick delight... and maybe a longer one with a glass of wine. My loved ones enjoyed crab cakes. Our friend had pasta with sea food. We liked the place and service was friendly. We will go back.

Opened in the historic and cultural neighborhood of Mt. Vernon in 1996. We are a brewery & restaurant dedicated to serving local and seasonal dishes, house-made pastas, and bar food classics with a twist. Home of Resurrection, Beazly, and Birdhouse Ales i
Great place for a beer and snack/lunch/dinner. Had a couple of beers and pretzel with mustard. Another table had the sausage platter and sweet potato appetizer. Smelled and looked delicious. We sat in the front by the windows but would definitely go again and sit in the back at a nice table and have some more delicious food!

Meeting college friends for lunch, and had a great experience. We sat on the upstairs patio. Despite being a hot August afternoon, the umbrellas and fans kept the temperature very pleasant. The whimsical Baltimore paintings on the fence add a sense of fun. Our group was the only one on the patio for a long time, the server was very attentive and checked in frequently, even though it was obvious we were settled in for a long chatty visit. The drinks were tasty and refreshing, and the food was terrific. We got a hummus board, and the presentation was beautiful, and everything was delicious. I got a McCabe's burger, out of respect for the many times that we had eaten at McCabe's during college. The burger was medium rare- exactly as a I had ordered it, which can be unusual. It was a terrific burger, beautifully cooked. The fries were obviously hand cut and a great complement to the meal. We had a great visit, and a wonderful Baltimore experience. Thanks Wicked Sisters- we'll be back.

We took our 11 and 13 year old grandsons to Birroteca last night. Though there's a kid's menu, I'm not convinced that this is the place for younger guys. However, that being said, the food was great. We had meatballs and calamari as appetizers--and yes, the older grandson ate them too and loved them. We had two pizzas--cheese with a pepperoni substitute and the spiced fennel. They were great. They were incredibly busy for a weeknight, but I guess the holiday season brings folks in.It was noisy and crowded. We had to 'bump' some diners getting to and from our table. But the experience was enjoyable. I asked the waitress to bring me a glass of 'not to acidic' red wine. She made a great choice. We'll be back. There were some parking spaces for handicapped parking and a door with ramp access. However, our table was not in that part of the restaurant and we had to walk down a few steps. If a person were wheelchair bound, this could be difficult and embarassing. Thanks so much for taking the time to give us some feedback. We appreciate you coming to check us out. Your shout out to the food and service was most appreciated. If you are bringing handicapped friends or family next time, there is an access ramp at both entrances so you may avoid any steps. I have shared you comments with the Chef & the staff as well. We hope to see you back soon. Cheers!Joshua LewisGeneral ManagerBirroteca Baltimore

Family went to the Blue Pit for some variety whisky cocktails....very enjoyable time with friendly service (though no waiters). A small footprint location that also offers BBQ as the name suggests, we only sampled the cocktails. Fairly poured, I advise arrival during happy hour for reasonable prices on standard cocktails. Specialty cocktails can start to escalate...I think we averaged $10/drink for our visit. I would go again!

City Cafe is a Baltimore favorite, open for Lunch, Dinner, Happy Hour, & Weekend Brunch.
August Sunday and last dinner with our new freshman college. This clean, contemporary bar/restaurant is just a few blocks from the Washington Monument and walking distance for us. The restaurant/bar is larger than it appears, with at least 2 bar areas as well as seating areas. We were fairly early on this Sunday night, and were promptly seated in the second(?) bar area. Lovely booth and server/bartender lowered the blinds due to the sun. We had her and the room to ourselves for a few minutes. Drinks were prompt and quite good - don't pass up on current specialties. We ordered the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Nicely crispy with a lovely dipping sauce, but could have been cooked until just a little softer. The complimentary focaccia is also a nice touch. Our entrees were good as well: I had the soft shell crab sandwich special, spouse had the brisket one, and adult kid went for the truffle porcini ravioli. No complaints - all were well cooked and served in a very reasonable time. All in all, a nice last dinner before leaving our kiddo at college for this freshman year. I'm sure that we'll be back over these next few years.

Just a quick walk to Baltimoreâs Inner Harbor or cultural center, Maisyâs is the neighborhood restaurant and bar you wish was close to where you live. Located at 313 N. Charles Street, Maisyâs warmth, hospitality, and really good food bring both Baltimore
We visited Maisy's on our first visit to the Mt. Vernon area in February 2019. Our lunch then pleased us enough to return on this August trip for an early Saturday night dinner. Service was top-notch, although it was a slow weekend evening. Drink orders were quickly taken and delivered. I ordered the Maryland crab soup and, once again, it was lusciously wonderful! Spouse adores the crab cakes, not my personal favorite in the area. Overall, though, everything is well-prepared and fresh. Such a great spot for this area!

It was a 2 minute drive from our hotel. A very nicely designed restaurant that needed a little sprucing up outside. It didn't need any help in the kitchen. We both had crab imperial with scallops & shrimp. It was delicious and piping hot from the oven.
