Cobbstar is a family owned bar situated on Guildford high street, inside the Angel Hotel. We are an entertainment bar with live music, karaoke as well as Sky and BY sports. The drinks offering included the best cocktails, amazing beer and delicious wine,
OMG - if youâre in Guildford, you MUST/NEED to visit this bar!!! We were staying the night at the Angel Hotel (incredible), walked past, saw the microphone and thought a band/singer must be playing. Was on our way to dinner so didnât stop! Had a lovely meal out, went to Turtle Bay for 2-4-1 cocktails but after 15 minutes still wasnât served! So, decided to go back to the hotel and so glad we did!! The cocktails were the best Iâve ever had!!! It was actually karaoke and it was the best night!!! Wow!! People genuinely having fun!!! Loved it!! Definitely going back!! Thanks for a great night!!! What a wonderful bunch of things to say from truly nice people !!!! It was an absolute pleasure to have met you and we hope we will see you both again very soon. Thank you so much! The Cobb family

The Plough is a hidden gem in the Surrey country side. Home to a warm welcome, amazing food & friendly service. Come and join George, Ewa and the Team. Dogs welcome!
really great geographical situation; food was good but have we missed the boat on "pub food" in 2019?To anyone reading this review, I've actually been in contact with the reviewer who confirmed that this review was in fact for another Plough in the area (there are about 6 of us, 'Ostentatious' was the first clue that it might not have been us). Unfortunately, Tripadvisor wont remove the review (even though they have had confirmation that it is in fact posted to the wrong location) and the user doesn't know how to delete it. So please ignore it.CheersGeorge

A beautiful country pub near the Wey Navigation in Sutton Green, equidistant between Woking and Guildford. Fantastic food with many fish and seafood specials. Superb ales, wines and an extensive gin menu.
We both love the olive tree for a relaxing drink or for food. The food is absolutely amazing with lots to choose and they are very accommodating. On each visit the menu offers so much for everyone, wether itâs bar snacks or a three course meal. We went for supper on Saturday evening and it was just perfect. Food, atmosphere everything. Staff are very friendly, helpful and chatty, exactly what you want to see entering a pub, with smiley faces. I was there a couple of Sundayâs ago and realized when I got home I had lost a very sentimental gold bracelet. After searching everywhere I had been, I went back and I was over the moon to find that it had been handed in or the staff had found it. Thank you to who ever found it, and for being so honest. We would 100% recommend this pub for any occasion. Definitely our local to enjoy a peaceful drink after a hard day. Also the biscoff cheesecake is a must if you visit, itâs divine.... see you soon Olive tree. Anthony & Lisa XxxThank you so much for your lovely feedback and for visiting us on Saturday! We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Popped into this pub on our way back from a night out - about 9pm on Saturday. Very quiet indeed with about 8 people there. Expected it to be busy as looks nice from outside too. Had a round of drinks sitting indoors (little too chilly to be outside). Friendly staff and nice size car park. Lots of seating outside which we'll try next time.

What a fantastic birthday present. Table booked for 12:30 starters arrived 12:35 and mains 5 mins after our starter plates were collected. We all chose something other than the traditional roast and I must say it was all beautifully prepared. When we decided to all have a dessert we were told that it would be 8 to 10 mins wait which is fine as it gave me time to submit this review. If ever in the area please look this place up you won't be disappointed.

Excellent food. Good choice including separate vegan and vegetarian menu. Mackerel pate was lovely with zesty flavour and 'proper' toast (individually sliced). Haloumi with sweet chilli sauce received big thumbs up too. Both has the fresh fried fish with mashed peas and home made chips. Really good.

The Queen's Head is located in the heart of the beautiful village of East Clandon, close to Guildford and the A3. Forming part of the award-winning Red Mist Leisure family of pubs, The Queen's Head is a popular location all year round offering a large pub
We havenât been here for many years as itâs not local but are pleased to have rediscovered the Queens Head and it was obvious from the big but busy Thursday lunch time car park that itâs a popular venue. Deservedly so from our experience. Service was welcoming and patient not pushing us to order quickly and was polite and clear to explain when one of the specials would take longer to cook. We had wine by the glass - all eminently drinkable - some breads to start and then mains and shared desserts between each couple. The portion sizes were ample. Everything tasty. Average £30 a head. The interior decor is nicely done and there is a pleasant buzz to the place so we will definitely be back soon. I would have given 5 stars if the veg had been less tough - my husbandâs kale and my broccoli were underdone even by modern day standards. The table for 4 was also a bit cramped. Hi ChristineB796Thank you so much for your review and we too are pleased you have re-found us.Some great feedback which we will share with the team and our apologies about the vegetables, we will always cook them al dente, but please let us know if you would like them softer, and if there is anything not to your liking with the meal let us know at the time and we will always try and fix it whilst you are there. We look forward to your future visits,Kind regards,Alex and The Queens Head Team

The Grantley arms is a newly refurbished stunning community pub with a great range of beers and fresh food, where drinkers and eaters alike are looked after with the same friendly and professional service. We serve delicious freshly prepared food all day
A pleasant ride over The Surrey Hills from our home on a lovely September afternoon. We really must visit The Grantley more often-friendly,efficient staff and management, excellent food (including one of the "speciasl"-steak and mushroom pie-one of my favourites) and dining al fresco in the garden-what could be better?

The setting is perfect ... a traditional pub in a beautiful English village serving the good old British roast besides other nice offerings on the menu The local brew ale was also very good. Very friendly and welcoming service. Prior as very reasonable.
