Clean surroundings, cheerful help, some plain good food and some exceptionally great food. Philly Cheese Steaks are exceptional tough they are not called that. The best onion rings I've had in years ! I'm told their Reuben sandwich is also in the exceptionalcategory although I didn't try it.

Hickory, even though it is a very small town, is seriously devoid of any decent places to eat except fpr Fourk, specially for normal people. The carnivores do not care about their food so they are free to eat where they want. I was in Hickory for a day and after a nic elunch at Fourk, ended up here for dinner. As I walked in around 6PM, the place was full of aging, whit haired old men guzzling their beers, the kind of folks who would have voted to put that buffoon in the W h i t e H o u s e. The name of the place is very misleading.. It is more of a pub / bar than a cafe, even though they have a cafe like food menu. The nachos were multiplex quality. The quesadilla with the mango chutney sounded more exciting than it turned out to be. The sweetness was over powering and the jalapenos that I asked for were milder than bell pepper. The salsa was supermarket quality. However, the margaritas were good and well priced. Service was very hassled and very difficult to get any one's attention. And American diners and servers need to be awre that tipping is not a matter of right or entitlement. It has to be earned.

The Hickory Tavern is the perfect place for a business lunch, after work happy hour, or to go watch any game! Bring the kids or just have a girl's night out. Whatever the occasion, the Hickory Tavern is always the perfect destination! The preferred game d
WE have visited here a few times. This bar is well done. Large TV's abound. We had drinks, burgers and salads here. We felt like all were good. But overall their was nothing distinctive about this bar except for the atmosphere. We had read the reviews prior to coming here and noted that people score this place all over the place. Obviously there is some consistency issues here. Our experiences were good, but nothing great. We do enjoy the atmosphere. The prices seem higher than most equivalent places in the area. This is one of the best atmospheres in the area for a bar, but mediocre experience.

Quirky place and cool seating inside giant wine casks that can hold 4-5 people depending on your girth. It is a traditional brewpub with local brews from Olde Hickory Brewing. Great craft beer and menu selection. Everyone in our party of four was pleased with their food & drink. Service was friendly and attentive. Off the beaten path but worth the trek.

A dear friend and I met halfway in Hickory, and with some difficulty we managed to find our way to downtown. The Old Hickory Station was the most interesting and fun place for lunch. Very friendly inside and outside dining with an attentive staff.

The Hickory area is being revitalized with a shopping area that includes cute boutiques and places to eat. The Hickory Brew is one of those places. We grabbed a few IPAs and enjoyed burgers. The Irish root was a great side dish as was the slaw. The bar is large with high ceilings and several tables. The bartender was friendly and attentive.

On The Lake! We prepare and serve comfort food with a quality chef driven approach. We have a private room that seats 50 people and take reservations in our dining room for groups of 8-15. The lower level (Factory Underground) has a bar and pool tables ov
Enjoyed dinner at the factory. Waitress was very attentive and nice. Food was good and adequate portions. Hubby and friend had the Chicken Pot Pie in a jar. I had the Bronco 1/4 LB plate which was BBQ brisket, collards and red bbq beans. Other member of the group enjoyed the Kickin Chicken Salad. All of us were empty plate club. Will definitely revisit this restaurant when in the area.

We visited for our first time a few days ago. I drank a delicious craft beer. I wouldn't call the beer selection vast but it was adequate. I had chicken tenders with buffalo dipping sauce. Chicken was moist and cooked to perfection. Dipping sauce was good too. My wife had some type of chicken casserole in a bread bowl. The potato chips were chewy instead of crisp but the manager dropped by and was glad to replace them with fries. I'd suggest trying this place out if you haven't already.
Wife and I were checking out homes near downtown Granite Falls and came across Fyreside while walking. Good beers - happened to be a Morgan Ridge Rail Walk Brewery sampling night. Nice! She had the quesadilla and I had the nachos -- good bar/pub fare. Quiet 'hometown' bar stool type atmosphere where most folks know each other...or feel like they do. Met the owner...will return for trivia and live music nights.

Tradition. But Evolved. We purchased a 115-year-old, 32,000sf soda pop plant. Reinvented it into a Craft Brewery for you. We made it Cool again. Granite Falls Brewing Company ("GFB") opened locally to the public on September 6, 2013. GFB operates from the
Amazing food and beer. Great atmosphere whether family night or date night. The staff members are friendly and make the experience great!
