Busy day at the bend. Dog in tow and the grandkids. Easy outdoor seating. Nice burgers and cold beer. Our NZ server was a delight. Parents/Grandparents liked the relaxed atmosphere and the grandkids loved the free foosball table.

We were told to go to Gables, but this cant be or is not the Gables from 15 years ago. Place was dead on a Friday night, live band playing to couple 60+ locals. Staff was rude at best, confrontational and just plain mean. Cash only at the bar and staff clearing half full drinks right from your hand. Save your money and keep walking down Main street to Willies

We ended up liking our breakfast the first day so well that we ate here all 3 days while we were in town. It's nothing fancy and could use some TLC as far as the atmosphere goes. I'm not sure what kind of construction was going on but the third day it was very loud from someone upstairs hammering on something. But not the restaurants fault. The food was what kept us coming back and that's the most important thing. Clean place, good staff. And gluten free bread was a bonus.

Dave's Pub & Grill At Oakwood Resort overlooks the impressive first tee of our eighteen hole golf course offering beautiful views from inside or while sitting on the expansive deck. Open to the public Dave's Pub and Grill is the perfect location to enjoy
To Bre and Cody: thank you for your alert promptness and professionalism and the friendly kindness. To the head chef: a few things need to change. The pesto chicken main was acidic and the portion very small. The Buffalo style cauliflower was spicy but quite sweet. However the deep-fried avocado was terrific as was my fish and chips. Look, readers, itâs a golf course resto. If you want the highest dining, go elsewhere. Our experience was quite good and met our expectations. Total cost for two appies, three mains and three alcoholic beverages plus tax and tip (20% in recognition of the service) was $165 CDN.

Get marooned at The Sandbar & Grill! A fun and casual dining restaurant just steps away from the beach in Grand Bend! Eat Good... Feel Good.
Unfortunately the food was disappointing. The chicken tenders were not tender at all, the meat was tough and hard to chew. The fish was fishy-tasting ...not fresh at all...n the fries were soggy. Could have went to one of the stands on the strip and had better....

We decided to take a day trip to Grand Bend. After walking up and down the strip, it was time to get some food. We had never tried the Growling Gator. It looked inviting because it was on the beach. We were immediately greeted and seated in a booth as requested.Looking through the menu. We realized it was a heavily drink-based restaurant. The first three or four pages showcased their beer, mixed drinks, piña coladas etc. We finally came to the food section and it was typical barfood. Nachos, burgers, sandwiches, poutine. Thereâs nothing wrong with that. Being a huge fan of burgers, I wanted to try a burger. My wife did the same.We each ordered cheeseburgers with coleslaw as the side. Our daughter ordered chicken fingers and fries and our son ordered poutine. As an appetizer, we ordered the calamari. It was not the traditional ring-shaped that we have been used to in the past. So we were pleasantly surprised. Our mains arrived. We were very disappointed to take a bite of our burgers and realized it was a frozen, generic patty. Normally I wouldnât care. However, the price he charged is not worth what they served. The best part, Iâm sorry to say, was the cheese and the bacon.Should we do decide to return, I know not to order a burger and perhaps stick to appetizers. And the lesson learned is, if youâre going to order a burger ask if they are fresh or frozen patties. All in all, it was great service, great atmosphere but not worth the price.

We visit regularly when we come to Grand Bend from our cottage near Bayfield. Fish and Chips are perfect. Have sampled Garlic Parmesan fries, French Onion soup and a variety of flavours of wings - all good. Nice selection of local beers. Service is friendly and helpful.

A return visit for us because we were impressed the first time. Not so happy this time. Of the 4 meals served to our group, 2 were excellent and 2 were disappointing. The burger and fries were excellent. As were the chicken tenders and fries. Good sized portions, nicely cooked and delicious. The fish tacos were not fish tacos. Like so many places, they serve a deep fried and battered lump of fish on a tortilla and think thatâs a fish taco. Itâs not. The Sesame Lo Mein Salad from the âFreshâ section of the menu was a generous serving of cold noodles with sauce and a tiny sprinkling of vegetables and not even all the vegetables from the menu description included - not at all what you would expect given the menu description. It was not a fresh salad. It was a plate of cold noodles. So a good place to go for the safe stuff like burgers and chicken fingers. Think twice about the more creative items. We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your meal choices. We would love to have you here again, and next time please ask for a manager as one of us is always available. We want our guests to leave happy and satisfied.
