Another good bar worth a visit if you want a coffee or a beer on your wanders. Once again some really good Tapas. Tried the cider which was excellent. Good people watching location.
El cambio de gestión ha traido tambien otro estilo en la gestion de la sala y una cocina aligerada con toques de modernidad más evidentes y cuentas más equilibradas.S2guro que la nueva singladura llegará a buen puerto.
This small bar has a small interior and a large outdoor seating area. We opted for the latter on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The cheerful waitress spoke no English but had no trouble understanding our requests. We got everything we wanted and service was great throughout. Our leisurely paced meal consisted of fried Calamari, Padron Peppers, sliced chorizo, and a cheese plate. While everything was great, the standout was the Calamari, which was a very generous portion of squid strips fried in what appeared to be a tempura-like batter. The Calamari was extremely tender, cooked perfectly and probably the best that weâve had during our two weeks in Spain. If you are looking for a fun day trip from Bilbao with a delicious lunch, then an easy 30-minute metro ride will put you in the Getxo District with numerous small towns to choose from. Algorta, is the old fishing village where this wonderful little bar is located. While the labyrinth of streets may make finding this taberna a little difficult, persevere because itâs worth the effort. In fact, it may be easier to walk along the river until you find the street 'Portuzarra Kalea'. Walk up the short flight of stairs and you will be at their patio.

It is located in Caridad Street in the Plaza de Tellagorri in Algorta (Getxo) in an historical artistic building dating from 1850, representative of a summer house from the time. The Ugartena is a cozy place where you breathe as you enter a good atmospher
This restaurant is located in a typical basque house. The decor is very nicely done. All typical basque. The selection of tapas (its called pintxos here) is enormous, and they keep bring from the kitchen. Great atmosphere, and very crowded evenings and weekends.Great place to spend some time with friends and family.

My husband and I went to The Piper's for lunch with a Spanish friend, who recommended it. It is just like an English or Irish pup, except that the food is Spanish! The staff were very pleasant and friendly, the atmosphere was fine, and the food delicious. We particularly enjoyed the pisto, which is a type of vetegable stew. We had a 'menu del dia', which was very good value. Well recommended.

This bar is worth the climb up the stairs, for a lunch time drink and some fabulous tapas. really liked the black pudding. The view is not as good as the bars at the bottom of the steps, but worth a visit for the food. Can be very busy.

Where to eat Mediterranean food in Getxo: The Best Restaurants and Bars

We went there with a coupon, and it was not bad. Neither good, but not bad. The service, not very good. The food, not too much (in the coupon it was not said that everything was one dish to share), and very simple, without any preparation. The overall, a 5. But one thing that really angry me is these kind of places that say "kobe burger", and it's not kobe. I was very surprised to see that on this restaurant, so it's on my list of robbers, like the irish tavern of Gorliz.

We took a day trip out of Bilbao and stopped at this place after reading TripAdvisor reviews. It is just a neighbourhood bar but the food was great. There are pintxos for â¬1 on the bar but we went for raciones including delicious and perfectly cooked solomillo and lovely muscles cabredos in a spicy sauce. A real surprise and highly recommended.
