Working microbrewery and scratch kitchen featuring German-American inspired cuisine. Located next to Great American Ball Park and minutes from Paul Brown Stadium, US Bank Arena, and Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati.
Large group served in the Hauck room. Nice views and nice and cool temp on steamy hot day. Service was very good. Nice selection of beer and wine. The menu is quite limited in my opinion for a place like this. I decided on the braised short ribs and they were only OK. Basically just tasted like some roast beef over potatoes. Asparagus was pretty good. Salmon for my friend was severely overcooked. She had asked for somewhat rare. Overall, though the food was pretty good. Just a couple misses on some things.

This place is the best restaurant I've ever ate at!! We ate there 2 days in a row. The chicken, mac and cheese, spoonbread, kale and sausage dip were absolutely amazing. They had a great beer selection and the atmosphere and service were perfect. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here regularly!

I recently moved to Cincinnati after living the last 20 years in Boston & NYC. Jeff Ruby's rivals any top steakhouse in the country. I've been many times and the staff is always personable and on top of things and the food is consistently excellent. Would highly recommend!

A quirky joint doling out beers & jumbo burgers with adventurous toppings in a neon-lit room.
I have herd allot of press about this place but was not impressed. I ordered the regular Cheese Burger it was half cooked. If you want a burger with another kind of cheese add $3.00 , bacon another few dollars, different sauces another few dollars, you could be up to $20.00 hamburger. It is standard to get chips with your meal the cook was eating the chips out of the same bag he was serving to the customers. Beware before going to this place not worth the money you can go to any sports bar and get a better burger.

We stopped here for dinner after a day at Belterra Race Track. The food was all very good and the service was quick. We had the Blackened Swamp Platter with the Mahi-Mahi. The fish was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. I had the crawfish etoufee which was very good. My wife had the fries which were just ok and not very hot. We were happy with the choice for dinner and plan to return again.

Once I saw that this was a "chain" restaurant, I should have known it wasn't going to be top of the line German fare. My first surprise was to find out they no longer serve red cabbage, which is a german staple and especially with schnitzel. My schnitzel was a tale of two cities, half of it was so thin it was like cardboard and the other half was too thick. The sides of potato salad and sauerkraut were just so-so.

For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981 and in the midst of one of the worst economies in a generation, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style stru
