This place is kept a secret by its fans! It's a luxury beach base with great sun beds, a fantastic restaurant, clean loos, shade, a bar and the rest. What's more there's a huge car park out the back, a beached ocean liner, The Lydia, to impress the kids and a sandy beach that goes way out. It's really all you need once you've had enough of the crowds at Canet Plage. It looks like any other beach bar but DTC Beach is something else. We sat outside this restaurant and watched the world go by and eating tapas as it should be, a few dishes at a time through the night.The staff were quiet happy for us to do this and we had some lovely food.The only downside was the mussels which were bitter Iâm guessing from burnt garlic and the lovely croquettes that came with an almost inedible aioli, It seemed more like mashed garlic and was extremely bitter. Would have been 5* if not for these issues.Lovely wine too.

OMG what an asset to Leucate. My OH introduced me this holiday. Carolyn is very welcoming and friendly. Their menu is spot on. The breakfast is very generous and comes with cheese and meat. We had coffee and/or food here most days. Dog friendly. The burgers were superb and big. Goudale on draught. Beautiful renovation and lovely ambience. We were so sorry when our last day came. Found this lovely beach restaurant while stopping at the aires on the plage. Walked down to the beach and there is was.What a fantastic place, Big cushions on the beach to relax on and have a cool drink or like we did one lunchtime has Tapas sat there watching the people in the sea.Restuarant part, slightly up from the beach area, just like being in a Bedouin tent Food was really good, we went for Tapas excellent section of choices and the first time I have had Le Poule and it was really moist and flavorsome.Service was very quick and the not long to wait for the dishes to arrive.We ate there several times while staying on the Aires and we will be back next spring when it reopens.It's a must if you are at Leucate.Fantastic place for eating and drinkingStaff really make you feel welcome and even our little dog was made very welcome with water and snacks!

After reading about this restaurant/ beach club in a local magazine, my husband and I thought we'd give it a try. As a beach club it's okay, nothing special but for lunch we had tapas and it was fantastic......we had all fish dishes which were so fresh and tasty we ended up ordering the same three dishes twice. Staff were friendly and helpful, my only reservation is that price wise this worked out quite an expensive meal for a lunch on the beach
