Ellwood City is 30 miles (48 km) northwest of Pittsburgh and some 8 miles (13 km) south-southeast of New Castle. In the past, Ellwood City sustained many heavy industries such as steel-tube mills, steel-car works, building-stone and limestone quarries, foundries and machine shops, and coal-mining. The staff at this restaurant saved my son's graduation dinner! They accommodated our party of 9 after another local restaurant completely botched our reservations! Shakespeare's came through with flying colors and saved the day! They were even able to place us in a private area of the restaurant! The food was outstanding, and the waiter did a wonderful job! While this place may seem a bit off the beaten track, it is well worth the visit!

we had a meeting and it was nice that thy have a room apart from the restaurant we were able to use, we all chose something different and it was all good and big portions, the fish sandwich was huge!!!!!!!

I read previous reviews that the place was smokey inside. I went last Friday and it was not smokey at all. The fish sandwich was excellent..It was one pound of fish served on a fresh hoagie bun. I was very satisfied with the meal.
