The Public House offers craft casual dining for the whole family. A rotating feature list will always have something new to try while our hand made classics will never leave you disappointed. 20 draft beers and over 50 bottles will have something for ever
We sampled a few things at the Public House during the Taste of Ellicottville. What a great place. Their scallops with red pepper risotto and tomato bacon marmalade made me desperate for more! The flavors and textures were delightful. A little bit of heaven in each bite. Wished the serving was at least twice the size. Their Carolina style pulled pork sliders were almost as tasty! We look forward to returning to enjoy their menu.

Located just steps away from the Sunrise chair lift at the bottom of Holiday Valley Road, Slopeside Bar & BBQ offers a great view, friendly service and the longest bar in town! The menu features home-style barbecue, wings, burgers, seafood, steak and more
Son and I stopped for dinner here as we were looking to an alternative to the Holiday Valley fare. He ordered half chicken with fries and I ordered the garlic shrimp with onion rings and coleslaw. The shrimp was delicious. The coleslaw just ok. Son thought the Chicken was short on seasoning but good. Service was also good. We will keep Slopeside on our list of possible on future visits to the slopes but not as a first choice.

Service is very good, friendly and efficient. The prices are a bit below the norm for E'ville. The lemon pepper fish 'fry' is one of the best we've had. Perfectly cooked and plenty of it.

Always the best party in town! Ellicottvilleâs spot for viewing all your favorite sports, showing games on 12 screens. Balloons features 17 draft lines with some of the nationâs best craft beer. Live music every Friday 7-10:30pm and Saturday 6-9:30pm foll
Went here for both a late dinner and stayed for drinks afterwards when the front of the restaurant turns into a bar at night. Popular on weekends in ellicottville both winter and summer. Good pub style food options for dinner. I would say the best spot to go in the evenings if you are looking for a nightclub style. Fun atmosphere!

The host (manager?) went out of his way to seat my family despite how busy they were. Service was friendly and professional. My Reuben was good and the local beer selection was fun to sample. Might be a good alternative to the more typically popular weekend spots. The live music was fun for the kids (lots of cool Neil Young covers) and the employees seemed really happy to be there.

Fresh Brick Oven pizza experience. Hand prepared and made fresh every order!
Went here late night for some food. We had a chicken wing style pizza, that was incredible! We also had some chicken wings that were just Ok. Service was a bit slow but it was due to a big crowd and not the staff. I would definitely go back!

Whenever we are at Holiday Valley for skiing we find our way to John Harvard for one or more meals. This visit my son and I had a dinner and a lunch. Dinner was pizza for son and Fish and chips for me. Pizza was good and the fish and chips was very good. For lunch he had the 10 oz steak and I had the French dip. Both were excellent. The French dip was done in a way that is different than my experience elsewhere but I rate it as the best I've had anywhere. If in Ellicottville or at Holiday Valley, treat yourself to a meal here. This visit was mud week and not holiday so there was no wait, On earlier trips we were there during a holiday or weekendd and found that a wait was required before seating unless we came for a late dinner.

The Gin Mill moved and lacks the friendly atmosphere it once had with the previous owners. We were interested in ordering some food and felt uncomfortable with people roaming around in the bar restaurant atmosphere with live country music. Only a bouncer at the door that looked us up and down as we came in rather that a friendly welcome.

We did the information tour on the brewery which was most enjoyable. Interesting information and it ended with some fine blends of beers. We finished off the day with an awesome dinner on the patio. The gardens are spectacular. Beautiful flowers in full bloom
