Visited Half Wall NSB last night and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Hubby said his jambalaya was delicious. Nice salad, fish and chips was good. I had the four cheese grilled cheese sandwich and potato salad. Both were fantastic. Potato salad was the best I ever found next to Momâs. Will go back for dessert! Loved the onion rings too. Lots of help and great service. Live music duo out back on the patio. Try it!

Food was really good, but atmosphere even better. If you enjoy beach shack type eateries and locals...this is your place. Enjoyed looking at sunset through big ocean front open windows! Server was great guy and just a cool relaxed place to grab a bite! Will be back!

We came here on a recent rainy weekday for lunch. I had read reviews of this place and was looking for a place to dine with friends later in the week. Decided to do a road trip and check it out before recommending it for our get together. We had no trouble finding a seat upstairs in the Treehouse bar. On that particular day, house and draft wines were on special so we did sample a variety. All fresh and tasty. For lunch, my husband had a burger and truffle fries that he thoroughly enjoyed. I started off with a bowl of the clam chowder. Wonderful on this rainy day. It was quite tasty and different than any other I have ever had. I also ordered the calamari and the Caesar salad. The salad came with chicken that I asked for on the side. I love my calamari on my Caesar ! I probably ate half and took the rest home for lunch the next day. The salad was simple but especially fresh and quite lovely. The calamari was also nice with a very different Asian inspired dipping sauce. I liked it enough that I asked for it to be boxed up to go with my salad and calamari. The service was spot on and the ambiance was pleasant. We liked our experience enough to make a dinner reservation for our get together dinner with friends. That visit also was a winner. Promptly seated, good service, nice live music but still able to carry on conversation with our friends. A very enjoyable meal. I had the snapper with almond crust. Totally delish. Husband had the crab cake dinner. Friends, the seafood pot pie, the scallops and a order of the calamari. Really loved both experiences and would recommend and return again. It was quite busy on Saturday evening so consider a reservation.

Yellow Dog Eats Kitchen & Bar is the newest addition to the YDE family....Join us at our brand new restaurant in New Smyrna Beach!
Having visited and recommended this restaurant many times, the experience yesterday was disappointing. It was busy and we were understanding of that fact. We watched the two adjacent booths that came in after us come and go, as well as people who ordered at the bar. Our waitress never came back to us. We inquired with our waitress about our order and another person came to our table to tell us there were only two guys in the kitchen and they were doing over $2000 worth of business. Did offer to give us 20% off our bill. Said our order was next after the one they were doing. We gave it 15 more minutes. After 55 minutes we left. I have never written a review like this and sad that I feel compelled to do so. Hoping they will make changes. If the waitress and other employees would put themselves in the patrons place, wonder how they would feel at a restaurant who provided that customer service?

We vacation in NSB every September. Last year, we had a simply great meal at Riverpark Terrace so were sure to go back for my husband's birthday dinner. I looked forward to the fried green tomato appetizer that, last year, was the best order of fried green tomatoes I'd ever had. Sorry to say I was disappointed this year. The serving was plentiful but really breaded and deep fried and not at all as it was last time. Good but not great. My husband had creamy chicken and asparagus soup to start which he said was good. My husband's entre of seafood fra diablo also was good and he said the spicing was just right. The server did ask in advance just how spicy he wanted it which was a plus. My entre was the problem. The menu had a blackened shrimp and broccoli dish over bowtie pasta in cream sauce and I asked if I could get it without blackening the shrimp and was told "absolutely" - good answer. However, as the server approached our table with our entries she noted the shrimp was blackened, apologized and took my dinner back to the kitchen. She left my husband's dinner and we waited. We ended up with my husband eating his dinner alone so it wouldn't get cold while I waited for mine. When it did come the server noted that the whole thing was recooked, not just the shrimp. Unfortunately, my whole plate was so heavily doused in salt (and I'm a salt lover) that I could not eat it. Did the chef just substitute tons of salt for the blackening spices? I didn't send it back because, by this time, my husband had nearly finished his dinner. I picked at about 1/4 of it and we decided to get our check and leave and to get my husband's birthday dessert elsewhere. Then it took forever to find the waitress. I think they had moved her to the garden where others were eating. I finally went to the entry and asked her for a check. When she saw I hadn't eaten my meal, she got the manager who seemed confused about what the problem was and thought I got the wrong meal. Long story short -- and most insulting -- was that the manager took off $5 from my $25 entre that was inedible. It would have been less insulting to just apologize or better yet to take the entre off the check.Bottom line: This will be our last dinner at Riverpark Terrace. Such a shame for our birthday "celebration".I apologize for the dissatisfaction with your entree. The shrimp dish is one most favored by our guests and we have addressed your particular situation with the management and kitchen to determine where the miscommunication occurred. We have also credited to your account the full amount of that shrimp entree which is $19.00. Please feel free to call me at 386-478-6398 at your convenience.

We celebrated our anniversary there. The scallops wrapped in bacon appetizer was cooked to perfection. I also tried the Lobster Bisque and the Espresso Creme Brulee which were also excellent. My husband tried the Mojo Pork Osso Buco dinner and the Fresh Baked Bread Pudding. We will definitely be dining there again. I would recommend giving it a try. Although I do not drink, they have a large wine, beer, craft & cider plus specialty cocktail collection.
