while visiting family in Hythe we had an evening meal for 4 at the White Hart. The whole experience exceeded all expectations. I was just expecting your average pub grub, but i was wrong. We arrived on a Thursday night without a reservation. The place was very very busy. We did manage to get a table. The atmosphere was great, lots of people enjoying the food etc. The specials menu was impressive, i wanted the fish chowder but it had already sold out (good sign). I had the hake fillet instead and it was delicious and fresh. The waitress (short blonde hair) was so friendly and welcoming! We had a good laugh and joke with her. Thank you to her for taking care and recommending the delicious desserts. Highly recommend the White Hart :-)

The Ferry Inn is an ancient, Seventeenth Century pub and restaurant that was the home of the ferry between the Isle-of-Oxney and the English mainland at Appledore. It is situated in the midst of beautiful countryside between Tenterden, Appledore, Stone-in
An early dinner watching the sun set from the front terrace, unbeatable spot. Unfortunately the food didn't match the view! We ordered a burger and a steak, the burger was ok, covered in a very sweet sauce and the 'wrap' doesn't really work. The steak was full of gristle and on the tough side, perhaps just unlucky but at £24.99 we expected something special. That said, we would definitely return for a drink and possibly a sandwich just for the view (garden at the back looks great too).Dear magnoliasundayThank you for your review. We apologise that you were not satisfied with your meal on this occasion. We pride ourselves on our food and would have been happy to try to rectify the situation if you had made us aware at the time. We do hope you will return so that we can ensure you have a better experience. Kindest regards The Ferry Team

My son and I were visiting the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway for the day and l was looking for somewhere to have lunch and after seeing previous reviews decided to walk here We were not disappointed the food was amazing we both had the bacon & onion pudding off the specials board with mash and three lovely vegetables. We are also real ale lovers and l allways try to find a pub with local beers so this was ideal as we had a few pints of excellent Master Brew & Spitfire

Countryside family run public house with restaurant. On the marsh overlooking lympne zoo with cows and sheep either side of us too in tranquil surroundings. We strive for all who visit, old and young, to have a great experience whether eating or drinking
What a fantastic Old Fashioned, friendly Public House with excellent food and outstanding staff. We visited this Pub five times whilst staying at Daleacres Caravan Site and was always given such a friendly welcome from the professional, friendly and helpful staff with excellent Customer Service skills. We had various meal choices from the menu and were never disappointed with the quality, presentation, or quantity of the food. From the Fish Pie, to the Steak & Ale Pie, Fish and Chips, Fillet Steak as main dishes, along with the cheesy garlic bread for starters, pate and halloumi, as well as the Pavlova, chocolate brownie and cheesecake. Food is good value for money, with generous sized portions. We would like to thank all the staff for making our visits so enjoyable and for always going that extra mile. Front of house: Jess, Lisa, Owen and Dawn, in the kitchen: Charlie, Tyler and Jason.Hello,Thank you for your wonderful comments. It was a delight to meet you all whilst you were staying at Daleacres, we cannot wait to see you all again. We hope you enjoyed the birthday party organised for the weekend of Saturday 24th August, Iâm sorry I wasnât personally there that evening, however I did get the chance to meet you when you came lunchtime Sunday 18th. Donât leave it too long to come back to visit us again ..Best wishes, Mandy (Landlady)

My daughter and her friends went tonight and were treated as a joke . My daughter is very very particular about what she eats so when she ordered she chose from the childrenâs menu and as she ordered she explained she wanted the chicken nuggets and chips but as an adult meal which the person taking the order said that was fine and would add extra. When the meal was delivered ha ha who ordered the kids meal!! Not acceptable my daughter was very very upset by this Cody was her server. I find this offensive and look for an answer

Went for the first time Saturday night. Very old pub in small village. There is a snooker table right by the bar which had a noisy crowd although not the fault of the pub. Three tables ordering food but still waited three quarters of an hour before our order was taken and onother hour before it actually arrived. The food when we eventually got it was very good. All veg was fresh and pies looked home made. The meals are extremely large though so wouldnât advise having a starter. Unfortunately nobody came back to ask if we wanted desserts or coffees until we prompted them. On saying that, staff were friendly when you finally got to see them.

My wife and I went for lunch today. What a lunch it was. I had topside of Beef and the wife had pork. The portions were enormous, superbly cooked and presented and well worth the £13 per meal. There were various options on the âSpecials boardâ and menu to suit all tastes. If you want good food friendly service then you will not be disappointed. It well worth a visit. However, I would suggest you starve yourself before you go or ask for a doggy bag. We will definitely return.

Eat, Drink & Stay with us at this small family run business lead by good wholesome food, fine wine and ales
We stayed within a short walk ofthe The Ship Inn and couldnât believe our luck that we had this on our doorstep. Beautiful decor, warm welcome and friendly staff. We ate here on 3 consecutive nights and enjoyed the food. A couple of options were not available but were still showing on the specials board, only reason this isnât scored higher. I would definitely return as we were made to feel very welcome, that and the very tasty duck and olive ragu! Thanks everyone at the Ship.
