Great bar, busy on weekends, lots of reused sofas and chairs, cool events (open mike and movie nights) during the week, good selection of beer, and they also offer food (from Camille Thai across the road). Its kind of like sitting in someone's living room, except with good music and beer on tap!

We are a traditional Irish bar set in the heart of Dún Laoghaire just a short stroll from the People's Park. Managed and run by friendly local staff who help to create a great atmosphere in a great Dublin pub environment, we host some of the best live mus
5 of us looking for a bar with good pub grub, we found McLoughlins which already had a great rating but it deserves even better, great house beer, amazing staff (SÃofra in particular) and fantastic food, chips were amazing! Food was well above your normal pub standard! It raised the bar for all others! The bar is friendly, with a lovely atmosphere which is bright but cozy! We cannot recommend this place enough! We will 100% be back! Absolutely one of the best for anything you want from a bar! Love it! Enjoy!

I got told about their Sunday roast, I wasn't disappointed!! being greeted by a bubbly host, fabulous roast with both mash and roasties! I finished with a yummy homemade crumble, loved the white chocolate ice cream! Over all we had an amazing lunch and we were very well looked after, I even had book our next dinner before I left. Wandered into this bar as across the road from our hotel and as it was very windy and cold! Bar is pretty average but the server, Arti was a little star. She was attentive and chatty. She made the bar seem much more welcoming and an enjoyable place to be.

The Old Punch Bowl was so good we will be back - Last weekend 8 of us arrived to find the Punch Bowl, which was recommended, very busy- but the Manager invited us to the Bar while he arranged a table for us - a little tight at first but it was so worth it - Within 15 minutes we were seated and an amazing choice of food on the menu was presented- the service was excellent - staff very polite and helpful. The food was second to none! Undoubtedly, the best food we had for a some time - A starter - the home made soup with homemade bread was my choice with the chicken starter was more popular with the remainder of our party - The main courses selection is superb- the steak for me while others had the Burger- Duck - Fish - Guinness pie ( never heard of that one ! Until now)All the extras - fresh water - sauces- condiments- where plentiful- while the place was busy and getting more and more people coming to both Bar and Restaurant the service and attention to detail was truly professional. Food excellent- atmosphere perfect - with a great mix of young and older people-The wine list was typically modest but excellent choices available. In the bar area it was obvious that a regular custom prevailed with lively laughter and chat in full flow- Finally desert arrived - the apple pie was excellent- I would have liked more ice cream but then again I never took up the offer made to me !! Coffees where dismissed in favour of beer which was difficult to choose from the wide selection- but to cap this successful night for 8 diners was the great value and only bettered by the service we received. Our friends enjoyed a great evening in a great location- thank you to all at the Punch bowel.Thank you for taking the time to write this informative and pleasant to read review. We always appreciate feedback. I do look forward seeing you here again, reading that you will definitely be coming back is always the best praise.SláinteKarlThe Old Punchbowl

This very nice establishment is everything you expect of a cosy, classic Irish pub. Comfortable, warm, very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. I wish we had more pubs like this at home in Australia! A good selection of drinks; we didn't eat here so I can't comment on the food. Thanks for a lovely evening.Glad you enjoyed your visit to us and many thanks for nice review.

We found this place because we're staying at Fitzpatrick Castle and was looking for some good food. We found it! The food was top notch and the service was friendly and attentive without being invasive. The steak was cooked perfectly and the warm goat cheese salad was absolutely delicious. Do your self a favor and have a pint or two, craic, and wonderful food in this beautiful pub.

A public house, family owned and run in the village of Dalkey. We serve lunch from 12.30-3.30 everyday.
If you find yourself in Dalkey (and you should), spend sometime at Finnegans's. We had lunch here as we made our way along the Irish coast on the DART. The food was good and the service prompt and friendly. Highly recommend this place. Very close to the station; prices were reasonable.

Since, I am back in Dublin for some business, I decided to have some dinner with my colleague away from the city centre. The concierge at the Shelbourne booked us a table there and we were more than happy with the meals and service. Not to forget, it is great value for money. Would dine there again during my next trip to Ireland in July
