The Crook Bar serves Tapas, fine wine and cold beer. It's causal dining at its best, so you can either sit down at a table, stand or sit at the bar to eat and drink in our atmospheric little bar. We've matched the wines with the food, so why not come see
Bloody love the crook! Been a few times and each time it's relaxed, fun and just a lovely place to be. The food, for me, has gotten even better. My three friends and I booked for Saturday past and shared 12 tapas dishes between us which was more than enough- I refused to share my churros though! Staff attentive and chilled kept checking on us for drinks but without being annoying. Only thing we missed was the live music which must have been the only Saturday they haven't had any but an excuse to go back nonetheless! Well done to owners and staff for making each trip a great one!Wow! Thanks very much for taking time out to write this! As you know we have music on every Saturday, but someone pulled out at short notice last week and it was too late to get a replacement Anyway, looking forward to seeing you again very soon!

The Westerton Arms or the “Westy” as it is known by locals, is a family run pub and restaurant in the heart of Bofa, which lies in the shadow of The Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle and Stirling Bridge. We are also situated near the popular landmark, Dou
We visited after a day at Stirling antlers and before going to the nearby university for a talk from Gordon Buchanan. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food we each had something different but all agreed it was lovely, nice friendly staff although a long wait for the food to come, 2 other tables were seated after us but their food came first which was not well received by 4 hungry waiting customersHey there,Thanks tor your great review!Sorry about the timing of your food delivery, depending on your order some meals take longer to cook. Highland chicken can take up to 30mins to cook and if your table ordered this, that may be the reason.I hope this helps? We look forward to seeing you again. The Westy team.

We rediscovered the Birds and Bees following our sons Wedding here at the beginning of September. We were very impressed with the venue and the food so we came back for dinner last week. We were not disappointed. Excellent food, excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere. It can get very busy so we would recommend that you book to avoid disappointment. Highly recommended.

Had booked a 2 night stay in Dunblane and found a deal for here on itison to use while we were in the area. The deal was a sharing cocktail and sharing platter for £18, it was amazing value- my husband and I struggled to finish the sharing platter. The cocktail we chose was so nice, and we stayed for another. We then went back the same evening for dinner and another few drinks. I had nachos which were huge!!! My husband had a hot dog which he really enjoyed. The only tiny annoying thing is we wanted to order another cocktail before we returned to the hotel for the night, however the waiter was busy chatting to a friend so we ended up paying and leaving earlier than planned. Previous to this his service was excellent though, I guess he was maybe fed up as the place was dead we were the only customers.

Welcoming, friendly and attentive staff in ambient surroundings. On our most recent visit we were visiting with friends for Sunday Lunch (13.00) - disappointingly and strangely two (out of three|) main courses offered as daily specials were no longer available? The food we ordered was however tasty and well presented. Would still recommend this restaurant.

We were down in Dunblane for our first wedding anniversary and found this restaurant the best in town. Food delicious, staff very friendly and welcoming, cosy atmosphere and prices reasonable. Would definitely recommend this place above all others to eat in town.

We opted to sit outside in the beer garden. Beautiful countryside view with clothes blowing in tind on a clothes line. Dogs were allowed and enjoyed watching some Border Collies play. We had local tap beer, and a wonderful soft baked cheeze appitizer, my husband had roast beef and potatoes which I shared as it was a large portion. The root vegetables were very good, as was my local style salad. Would love to return.

We booked two rooms for one night at this hotel which looked nice & thought it would suit our needs. On entering the hotel we were shocked by the appearance of the entrance looked. It needed a good Hoover & general tidy up. A lot of unnessary stuff was lying about & made it look very untidy. When we checked in the girl on duty was very polite, pleasant & very helpful when showing us our rooms. We decided to stay & make the best of the situation due to the holiday period. After unpacking we had a look at the public rooms & were shocked !!!!!!To find at app 3.00pm in the dining room, dirty breakfast dishes were still on some of the tables & Some of the breakfast buffet were lying uncovered.Through in the lounge bar a whole table of dirty dishes from lunch time were still there. We felt sorry for the girl on duty to be left with all this & also reception duties. We had a very good nights sleep in very comfortable beds with lovely clean linen. The bathrooms however were a different story.!!!Who needs miniature shower gel & soap when we have our own? Give us a towel rainl & a toilet roll holder !!!When we came down for breakfast we found the floor at the buffet table so sticky & unpleasant.( when was it last washed?)On a positive note- the cooked breakfast was first class & most enjoyable. Good quality of sausage & bacon were provided. After over 35 years experience as a Cleaning Supervisor I was shocked at the overall standard of this hotel & felt like rolling up my sleeves & getting stuck inPerhaps if we return to this hotel a better standard will be found.Disappointed Scotland / England
