I came here with two friends at 1:45 p.m. it was seat yourself, probably 10 minutes before anyone came over. Gavin introduced himself, we ordered drinks. The cocktail came right away, but we had to ask THREE TIMES for water. It was 32 minutes total from when I sat down to when I got a glass of water - and when I did it was dirty - brown soda stains all over the glass! Ridiculous. When our orders were taken, Gavin asked what I wanted and then had to ask again because he hadn't bothered to write it down the first time. The shrimp tacos and chicken salad sandwich are both yummy, as are the tater tots, but with so many other cool local places to eat on the square in Lawrenceville with better service, I won't be returning to U Joint anytime soon.
I'm not sure why, but almost every time i've been here the waitresses/waiter gets the order wrong. I've been 5 times in the last 3 months, and only once did they get the order right. It's not like i'm ordering anything unusual or difficult--wings and fries, every time. Yet.... they get it wrong. Over and over. Anyways, wings here are great. Atmosphere is typical of wild wings cafe. Nice little outdoor area to chill in when the weather is nice. Food's been consistently good at this location, and I have no real complaints with this place other than the wait staff continually getting the order wrong. But even then it's wings--who really cares.

We husband and I ate lunch here on his birthday. He ordered dry cajun wings with coleslaw and I ordered the dry lemon pepper wings with mac & cheese. My husband loved all of his food. Thought my wings had too much lemon pepper seasoning but the mac n' cheese was to die for! My husband rec'd a complimentary brownie and ice cream for dessert. It was huge and every rich. I ate a little of it but the brownie was too rich for me. We had to leave some of it. This was definitely a dessert for 2 people! Waitress was very friendly & attentive.
Our second visit, but not our last. Very good food and service on both our visits. Weâve tried the burger, wings, the âWeckâ, artichoke dip, peanut butter cheesecake, and all were delicious! Service was prompt and friendly. And the place is very clean as well. Highly recommend!!

This is the home of the â$100 Hamburgerâ to any enthusiastic pilot. What does that mean? Well, youâll have to go and find out for yourself. Cheeseburgers cost only $10.45. The locals affectionately refer to this restaurant as the-hole-in-the-wall. A lot of locals meet up here. The models of the airplanes hanging from the ceiling tiles add a nice touch. The prices are reasonable, and there is seating available outdoors. Generally speaking, the surrounding area of Lawrenceville is full of franchises. It is refreshing to see a mom-and-pop restaurant nestled among the mainstream businesses. The parking lot is spacious. And, after looking around the restaurant, you will conclude that someone affiliated with this business has a quirky sense of humor. If you are in the area, stop in. You might even be able to eavesdrop on a conversation between pilots and mechanics.

We went to see a friend playing in the band. Sonia was AMAZING!!! She was at all her tables making sure everyone was having a great time. Our friends ordered food, but we just had drinks and water... Sonia still took care of us with water even when we stopped drinking. Outstanding job Sonia!!!

We decided to celebrate my birthday and son-in-laws birthday here. We arrived at 5:30 and had very little wait time for a table, there were 6 in our party. Our waitress was very attentive and explained the specials and menu to us. We placed our drink orders and received them in a timely manner. I tried the mango tea and it was wonderful. Husband enjoyed the fresh squeezed lemonade and we all loved the pickles we had before ordering our meal. We had a variety of meals, pot roast, burgers, turkey and dressing and fries. The burgers came with fries or onion rings, and the pot roast and turkey came with mashed potatoes w/gravy and carrots. The carrots were to die for. Cooked to perfection and tender. To finish up our meal we ordered several desserts and the two birthday celebrants got a bowl of ice cream with a huge cookie with a candle on top. The service was great as well as the delicious food. When we left, there was people waiting for tables and parking lot was full. Don't know if they accept reservations, but that would be a suggestion if you are dining after 5:00 or with a large group. Thanks to this establishment for making this a good birthday celebration for our family.Thank you for the great review! We pride ourselves on serving made-from-scratch food paired with genuine hospitality. We are so pleased to hear that we delivered. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Apparently right as we walked in the restaurant had also seated two larger groups. That said our service was down right terrible, got orders wrong, some didnât even come out and the food was pretty bad. Gumbo was very salty, New York strip had zero taste, burger was cold, etc. Waitress said it was her 2nd week working but it seemed like more her second week as a waitress in general - did not know the job. Brought our concerns up with the manager, who was busy diffusing other poor experiences, gave us a gift card and encouraged us to try again. I think we will use the gift card as a promotional business gift and will not personally return. Cute downtown, bad service, almost worse food.

It's my birthday and my hubby surprised me with lunch at the Local Republic. It's a cozy dim lighted place with good ambience. I ordered the chicken and waffle which was good but the reuben was off the chart. Our daughter said the marinara meatballs were fantastic. Andi was our top notch waitress.
