We went to The Old Triangle this evening at 6:30 with a reservation for 8 people. The waitress was very slow asking for drink orders and not returning to ask if more drinks were required, food was very slow to come, a couple of the oysters were bad, there was live entertainment and it was so loud we had to yell to each other to have a conversation. When we arrived there were only 5 other patrons at the time, so the staff were not busy. We won't be back for sure !!Hi Pioneer288640,Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback and we are so sorry to learn of your disappointing experience last evening at our Pub. We value all of our guests and are always sad to hear when we have let anyone down on their visit. We'll be sure to address your concerns with our service and kitchen staff on duty last night to make sure these mistakes are quickly corrected. We pride ourselves on great food, friendly service and awesome live music but it seems we missed the mark with this visit. If you'd care to contact me via email [email protected] or by phone #902-892-5200 I'd be happy to apologize directly and see if we can make it up to you.Wishing you all the best and very sorry once again.Paul Mansour

Pub style restaurant with large patios flanking the corner property. Menu includes many variations on classic pub favorites (ask for the chicken curry nachos). Dine in and enjoy live entertainment nightly in the heart of beautiful downtown Charlottetown.
Hadn't been here in years after a bad experience, but our first choice wasn't yet serving lunch, so stopped here for lunch. Good choice of local craft beers. We had the Upstreet IPA and Ruby Social. The lunch meals were large servings. My wife couldn't eat all her Junior size Greek Nachos. I had The Philly and did clean my plate. Too full for deserts. Didn't realize until later that the Charlottetown tourist map has an ad from Hunter's with a 10% off offer.

A busy night with insufficient staff. A long wait for our food. The Fish and Chips were a disappointment with the fish overcooked to the point of being hard. The Quesadilla was good. Not our first time here but the worst experience so far. Maybe our last.

The Merchantman Fresh Seafood & Oyster Bar excels in seafood and local favourites while offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. If it's oysters you're after, look no further - our raw bar has a wide selection of local oysters from Malpeque Bay to Colvill
On a busy Saturday night in Charlotte town, because a cruise ship was import, it was difficult to find a restaurant without reservations, even in the off-season. Our fourth choice was the Merchantman restaurant. To get a seat we sat at the bar. Our waiter was probably a better bartender than a waiter. We ordered the most expensive dinner on the menu a very large seafood platter that had a combination of seafood. It did not have all the seafood that was listed on the menu and when we question that our waiter just walked away from us! The food and drinks that we had were good but it was not an eating experience worth $125.Hi there,We are very sorry about this experience. We always want to provide food and service that exceeds expectations and we apologize that we failed to do so in this situation. We would love the opportunity to make it up to you - if you're still in town (or the next time you're in town!), please reach out. We have created a truly unique dining experience based on local products, a culinary flare and an atmosphere that brings the kitchen to the forefront. We invite you to experience and enjoy The Brickhouse and Marc's Lounge in Downtown Charlottetown today.
The restaurant is cosy and comfortable (at least on the ground floor where we dined) with exposed red brickwork and wooden beams. It had a good feel to it. I had the lobster pie, which was excellent. My wife had the scallop paella which was marred a little for her by quite a very definite hot spice or chilli presence that the menu had not revealed. We ended up swapping dishes half way through. The paella was fine for me, but I had to agree that it was âhotterâ than any paella that I have had. I know paella does usually have added pepper, but this one was on the hot side. I actually enjoyed it a lot.To their credit, when we explained the problem, which was anyway largely due to my wifeâs low tolerance of hot spices, they were very apologetic and did not charge for deserts. Overall, a very nice meal and we thought good value. Service was excellent, and we can certainly recommend it. Itâs better than Simâs just around the corner.Hi highhousefarm, Thank you so much for sharing, we will be sure to pass along your message to the rest of our team! We hope to see you again soon. Ate here twice while staying in Charlottetown for 3 nights. After a disappointing experience elsewhere on the first evening this was a real find. Menu has a good range of options for coeliacs and the server and chef were very helpful in further adapting these to low dairy. Two excellent meals and we were made to feel so welcome.Hi SWMermaid,We're always happy to make sure we modify any items we can to meet your dietary needs! We're so happy you chose to visit us not once but twice and we hope you'll visit us again the next time you're in town.Thank you for sharing your review,Alyssa

We researched a restaurant for lunch for our cruise stop in Charlottetown and selected The Pilot House based on reviews and their menu. We were still pleasantly surprised when we arrived at how cosy and inviting it felt despite being quite a large venue. Our server was friendly and offered suggestions. Although the service was a little slow with the arrival of our drinks and food, it was worth the wait. My fish and chips were perfect and my husband devoured his burger. By the time we left it was very busy and it looked liked mainly locals, which is always a good sign.

The Churchill Arms has some of the best wings in town, deep fried and dipped in sweet chili sauce, one can hardly keep oneâs composure as you turn into a ravenous beast craving more! The atmosphere is more subdued, quiet and cozy at lunchtime with lovely meals to satisfy your hunger and slake your thirst from the pubâs selection of local beers and classic refreshments. Truly an experience that will leave you desiring more of the charm and delicious food, the bay clams and pei grown fries were a big hit as well.

Cruise ships were in so the crowds were a little thicker. Stopped in for lunch and were promptly seated. Food came out lightning fast and the staff were very nice. Much better than the standard road houses and location is hard to beat. Worth the visit.
