With limited food choices In Copperopolis, we did not have high expectations. Their menu is as expected for a bbq and grill place. My hubby ordered roasted chicken and it was good. I ordered wedge salad and it too was good but I had to cut off the stem of the iceberg lettuce wedge and peel off a few layers of the brown lettuce. The lettuce should not have been served this way but no harm done. Another reason for average rating.

Saddle Creek is a beautiful golf course, but the true Diamond of the resort is the Dining room. We just ended a two day golf tournament and looked forward each day to dinner. The food is wonderful under the direction of Chef Nigel Thorne and Sous Chef Janet Weissbeck. The wait staff is top notch! The prices are very fair.Open daily for breakfast and lunchFriday and Saturday night 4:30 to 8:30Sunday 8am till noon. Best chicken fried steak and eggs!Try it you will not be sorry!Laurie AndradeFood and Travel editor Pen Central
It's just what the name implies & what the exterior exudes:: old western saloon that dates back to 1862. ⤠the unpretentious name ~ authentic exterior ~ oh yeah ~ sitting about 10' off the Main St. pavement. One of the oldest continually open bars in California ~ tales of Black Bart ~ It was a stagecoach post, among other things:: speakeasy / rooming house / brothel / There's still a hitching post outside. Had to check it out & watch the pregame hype on the XL TVs. Owner & patrons were friendly, & the decor & vibe took me back in time. He made me an old fashioned cheeseburger that had that seasoned grease flavor. Quite the authentic place. I loved it.

We were in Angels Camp on a very rainy day! We wanted to eat American cuisine that had fish, steak and other dishes. We found Camps and were pleasantly surprised. The inside was warm and inviting. They had a nicely lit fireplace and a full bar. The menu had several dishes that fit exactly what we were looking for and reasonably priced. The environment is more geared towards adults; however my grandchildren are well behaved and I would not hesitate to take them for a nice lunch or dinner. The restaurant does have ample space and high chairs. Very nice space overlooking the golf course.
