Commerce Township, officially the Charter Township of Commerce, is a charter township of Oakland County, and suburb of Detroit, located in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 40,186 at the 2010 census. The terrain is rolling hills with large expanses of flat farmland and suburban development. The Huron River runs mostly north-south through the township. Commerce was formerly a weekend and summer resort for Detroiters because of the area's small inland lakes and peaceful seclusion, but due to recent development the cottages are now all permanent homes. There has been a sharp increase in population in the last few years, mostly on or near the several lakes and golf courses. Much of Proud Lake State Recreation Area is within the township. The northern terminus of M-5 is in Commerce. The busy highway would have continued north to Interstate 75, but because of the area's high property value and the many lakes that dot the landscape such a project would have been far too costly.

Enjoyable experience. Good menu with plenty of choice. Attentive staff and quick service. We each enjoyed our meals and the prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this place to others.

Until a year ago I hailed from the lovely Garden State. The whole NY/NJ area is full of establishments boasting of the âbest pizzaâ. There is all kinds: brick oven, coal oven, wood fired, and the corner pizza restaurant. So I am jaded and abit of a snob when it comes to pizza pie as we North Newarkerâs called it growing up.Fast forward and I marry a Detroiter and there are trips to his home state visiting in-laws and friends to celebrate (graduations and weddings) and mourn (hospitalizations and deaths). Early on I quickly learned that Jersey wasnât the only pizza that locals areproud of, there are many of them out there. The first time I ate Detroit Style Pizza, I fell in love. I had Buddyâs square pizza. The dough gets a double rise which when baked makes it an airy but well structured. The cheese is Wisconsin brick cheese. I donât know what that is but it is stretchy and somewhat tart. It is a perfect accompaniment to the sweeter tomato sauce. The cheese is put on the dough first followed by the sauce. The pie is in a rectangular sheet pan w/ sides and then baked to perfection (IMHO). You can order a half which is four pieces or a whole which is eight slices. All pizzas can be accessorized and there are some such as the Ultimate Italian, the New Yorker and so forth. There are other non pizza options and I recommend the Chopped Antipasto Salad that my husband says is yummo. If you are in the Detroit area and can get to a Buddyâs I guarantee you will have an unforgettable pizza. Heydonât tell my Jersey buds!We are honored to receive your vote of confidence, as we are thrilled to know you are now a Buddy's Pizza fan. Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience and for sharing your favorites. We aim to serve only the best and we look forward to serving you at your next visit. Thank you!

The food was decent but it was so hot in the restaurant it was hard to enjoy. When we spoke to the hostess about the temperature she said she had turned it down . The wait staff was profusely sweating. 95 degrees outside. It was truly uncomfortable.

Diamond Jim Brady's Bistro Bar since 1954, originally in Detroit, now nestled in Novi, Michigan. All the charm of a bistro with the neighborhood feel of your local bar. Certified Executive Chef/Owner Mary Brady & Chef/Managing Partner Sharon Juergens serv
Nice casual atmosphere with good food and attentive staff. Mussels appetizer is a family favorite. Salads are always fresh and tasty. Burgers are big and juicy. Nice selection of wines to go with any meal. In a world where itâs difficult to find a reasonably price local restaurant, diamond Jim Brady stands out.

We had 6 for a birthday and even though it wasn't very busy on a Sunday for lunch, we had to wait almost 15 minutes for a table, they seemed to not have enough wait staff that particular day and there was a party of about 14 a head of us. BBQ full slab was very good, brisket and pulled pork was good but a little underwhelming. Sides were all excellent including asparagus, mac and cheese and corn bread. Kids had pancakes, french toast, sausage and ham and they thought it was excellent.

Might be highly rated as best around, but the BBQ was some of the most tasteless I have ever had. While prepared well, totally lacked in seasoning.I had the tasting plate, brisket, pulled pork and sausage - the sausage was the best thing on the plate - sides smoked mac and cheese - no smoke, collard greens were decent, but not great. Place was packed inside and out - I don't get the attraction?

The Lakes Bar & Grille is the perfect destination for lunch and dinner, whether a casual lunch, an intimate dinner for two or a large group celebration.
Small place, but great things come in small packages. Did lunch and the burger was terrific. My wife had the Patty Melt which was a special...excellent. Have also been there for dinner recently, the ribs, perch and fish and chips were loved by our foursome. Good pour from the bartender, nice beer and wine list. Will go back again and again.Thank you for you comments and five star rating. The Lakes Bar & Grille strives to bring the best of food, drinks and service to each and every great customer like you.......thank you.

Microbrewery with outstanding brews, and a from-scratch kitchen.
Went there for my brother in laws 40th birthday party Saturday the 9th. Long way for me in Taylor, but wanted to celebrate with him. I had their Gimlet which was satisfying and a buffalo chicken sandwich. It is a nice place good food, pretty basic pub food but worth going to if i was in the area. Service was pretty good, and food everyone got recieved compliments. So won't drive from Taylor up there but if i am visiting family and friends will be my suggestion to go to. Nicely done.Hi Starkewinter,We appreciate you making the trip from downriver, up to see us! Glad your brother-in-law's party went well for you, and we hope to see you again when you're next up this way!

We met my sister and her husband here as they live on a local lake. Some lake food is pretty crummy, but we were pleased with this place. The service was fast. There was some special that you get a pizza with another entree so both my sister and her husband did that and took home two pizzas. I can't eat pizza with all that cheese, but I did have the chicken parmesan roll and it was good. With being allergic to lactose, I often feel like I'm not getting the best food a restaurant has to offer, but this was good (albeit, a little iffy when it comes to the cheese and dressing). But,I liked it. We had a few local brews and went on to play cards for the afternoon. Good meet up place. Easy to get to and park and fast, casual food in the playground area of northwest Detroit area.

Went here for a business lunch; the restaurant is very large, so it shouldn't be a problem to find a space to sit. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad; it was a large portion, and tasty. Our server was efficient, and was there for what we needed. Overall, a good lunch option for the area.
