First time visit with a friend who had been before and recommended. The FauxHawk Burger sounded good and it did not disappoint. Easily the best veggie burger I've enjoyed to date. Friend got a chicken sandwich which was also very good. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to getting back. Tip: RY is one block from the Big Four pedestrian bridge. If in Louisville, take a stroll and avoid the toll (New driving bridge is a toll bridge).

Very popular and highly recommended as we searched out places to go while in LVille for the weekend. Downtown so limited parking but we did get a metered spot. Enter down a hall and think your going into the kitchen. Has booths, high tops and bar seating. We had a great Old Fashion. Best of the trip. Raw bar and BBQ. Had wings hot. Very spicy. St Louis style ribs. Nothing more than spare ribes with wet sauce and dry rub spicies. Expected St Loius Beef ribs. Ribs we got were OK. Has an extensive Bourbon and wiskey list and beers. Good service at the Bar. TV with football. We would return and glad we stopped. Reserving a table online was not available and calling in for reservation was not allowed. Moved the date from Sat to Sunday and no problem.

Against The Grain Brewery and Smokehouse is Louisville's first brewer-owned brewery and, like most worthwhile undertakings, the product of dissatisfaction with the status quo. The Louisville area has had a number of quality brewpubs for some time now, but
Came for lunch and loved it! The atmosphere is fun and Street artsy but donât miss the brews and food. We tried the bbq breakfast and it was....well....words donât describe it well enough. Just suggest you have it. Two of our group did and then shared bites with the rest. The brisket sandwich was delicious but the brisket baked beans were sublime. As for the brews, one of our group loved the pool boyâ with a blackberry base- light and refreshing. Another of our group got a darker porter which they loved âbut the winner had to be the Bloody Mary. It came with lots of accoutrements including a piece of cheese, meat and pork rinds. Hard to describe but delicious with a little spice. Good Music was going outside but we sat inside to avoid the afternoon heat. Fun place to try.

Though Iâm a local, I had never heard of this place but apparently, itâs been around for a while.I visited with my family, party of 5, on a Friday evening. We arrived at 7 pm and were seated right away. The place was busy and they told us we could have the table if we could be gone by 8:30 for a reservation. No problem for us.The place isnât huge but they do have a separate area to have a semi-private event. A wedding party came in as we were finishing up. There is a separate bar area too. I ordered the 6 oz filet cooked medium. It comes wrapped in bacon. I removed the bacon and didnât eat it as I only like my bacon extra crispy and cooking it that way doesnât render it crispy. My sides were a baked potato and instead of a salad, I got the brussel sprouts. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, juicy and flavorful. I loved the brussel sprouts too. They come fried with a drizzling of balsamic vinaigrette. Baked potato was good too. Service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and anticipated our wants without being bothersome. At the end of the meal, I had wanted to try the Dutch peach cobbler but was full and so she suggested I get it to-go without the ice cream. This turned out to be a smart choice. I warmed it up a few hours after I got home and added some vanilla ice cream and it was delicious. The crust was light and flaky and peaches were plentiful. I like a lot of crust and a lot of peaches and this lived up to my preference. My mom got the Delmonico steak and she said it was very good. My sister got a sirloin and she was also very impressed. We all loved our food. They also have a kid's menu with reasonable prices. This place costs a bit more than going to say Texas Roadhouse but itâs better and much less expensive than going to a pricey steak houses such as Jeff Rubyâs or Mortonâs.We will definitely return

Mostly a burger / appetizer spot with a very deep drink menu. Would probably go back to sit at the bar based on the variety of drinks, maybe get an appetizer (the chorizo fries were very good!). This trip, we didn't sit at the bar, and wasn't overly impressed with service. That knocks it down from a 4 to a 3 for us.

We came here based on a recommendation from a friend. It was a fun atmosphere and the outside patio looked fun but it was not open. I had the fried chicken tenders and my husband had the white chicken meat. Very tasty!! Especially with the honey dipping sauce! Both had cole slaw-it was ok but needs to be stirred up. I also got the Mac and cheese. Highly recommend that!We left before entertainment came on and I believe it would be loud at that time.Service attentive. Would recommendThank you for the love! Cheers!

FIRST TIME VISITOR (from Boston, in town for business meetings)FRIENDLY STAFFMaybe everyone in Louisville is so friendly but from front desk, warm welcome to attentive waitress named Mary - I felt welcomed. So appreciate that after a long day of connecting flights to get to KentuckyTHE FOODMixed bag1 - The Olive Bread - Was OK - nothing great - I'd give it a B- grade2 - The Tomato Mozzarella Salad - SUBLIME! really flavorful tomatoes from local farmstand, the cheese was INCREDIBLE & I am still thinking about it the next dayI give it an A++++++++ (what's higher grade than that?)3 - DO NOT RECOMMEND THE FETTUCINE with bacon & egg - WAY TOO SALTY. Turns ou (after talking to regulars at the high top/bar area this is COMMONPLACE and they always order it with less salt!?) Tell your chef he needs to pull back on salt - combo of the pork, parm cheese & salt was overbearing. Would never order that againI give it a C4- BANANA BREAD PUDDING WITH BOURBON ICE CREAM. Hello! I may be an ice cream snob and this bourbon ice cream was EXCELLENT, I give it a solid ATHE AMBIENCESuper cute, relaxed space. Delighted I could wear t-shirt & shorts and just soak up the space.

Louisville loves its legends and Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse has quickly become one. Modeled after the successful Cincinnati restaurant, this steakhouse pays homage to its adopted hometown featuring both Kentucky-inspired menu items and unique interior decorat
The people, the food, the feel, and guests are genuinely Louisville and nothing short of fantastic.I start with the scallops, move to the filet and have never been disappointed. The bourbon selection is second to none and always accompanied with the commentary usually reserved for conversation about fine wines.

You must go to the historic and beautiful Brown hotel and get the Hot Brown they invented. Great service in a wonderful setting and when paired with the best selection of Bourbon in the world you can go to anyplace better to sample what Louisville is all about.
