Last night we went to have drinks to meet friends at the bar. When we first arrived we were impressed by the atmosphere and how crowded the restaurant was. We were able to find two seats in the corner and settled in quickly. We ordered our first round of drinks from Breanna and they came out quickly and were delicious. As our night moved on we continued to order drinks but from another bartender. I asked her for a glass of Prosecco and my sister in law ordered a tequila soda. After about 5 minutes we got our tequila soda from her; she walked away and proceeded to talk to a group of people at the opposite end of the bar. We continued to wait, and wait. Finally my sister asked Breanna for my Prosecco as fifteen minutes has passed and we could clearly see the other bartender had no intention of retrieving it for me. As time progressed we asked the same bartender for a couple of waters. She said it was âno problemâ and walked away. Fifteen minutes later, empty drinks and no water we asked Breanna for the water. She quickly grabbed them for us and took our next drink order. Her coworker, seemed to remember we had asked for the water and came over with two additional waters and said âhereâs two more, you might as well have them.â After about an hour and a half into our visit we noticed a previous patron was sitting in their car, in the parking lot for quite some time; long enough to be concerning. One of our friends brought the issues to the bartenders attention, she ignored our first attempt to make her aware. After a few minutes we mentioned that there could be something wrong with the person in the car and the bartender may want to take notice. Her response âwhy do you care? Just ignore the car.â Considering two of the people we were with are first responders, they werenât thrilled with their dedication to potentially injured customers. After her careless comment, we left, after being charged for 4 beers we didnât consume, and went to check on the car. Thankfully the driver was conscious and waiting for someone to pick them up.Although Breanna was great at her job, her counter part was unconscious of her customers and more consumed with her friends than serving. It made our night a complete flop and would not be my first place to recommend to a friend, unless Breanna was guaranteed to be there.

Sooo, let me clarify. I have been to Sparrows many times and frankly the food is always good. However there is always something that gets in the way of this pub to being an above average experience. Sometimes it is the long wait for food, or a grumpy bartender that is waiting on tables, cleanliness of menus, bathrooms not up to par, ran out of what you wanted on tap or just something else to allow this place to stay a struggling average. I am sure sparrows can be better, but i am not sure that the management knows how, can or wants to improve. Maybe average is their comfort zone, but the prices they charge dictate above average experiences.

I have eaten or had a drink here a number of times before when meeting one of my friends since it's conveniently located near the center of Cheshire. They have added an outside deck which is very nice on warm sunny days. Food was adequate pub fare reasonably priced along with the drinks. Service was ok, but certainly could have been better. I have always enjoyed the "Vic House" & will definitely give it another try.

The Waverly Inn is a neighborhood restaurant and bar, serving traditional as well as inventive American fare. With comfortable booths in a relaxed bar atmosphere, a separate dining area ideal for intimate dinners with friends and family and a beautiful ba
Overpriced- somewhat depressing place. On the positive side - bartenders are tremendous. I miss the Waverly before this regime. That was a much more homey atmosphere with good- never great fare. Instead of a "rotation" spot - this is a once a year drink and app place where we go on our anniversary since we had our huge <35 people> wedding reception there 20 something years ago...
