Camarillo (/ˌkæməˈriːoʊ/ KAM-ə-REE-oh) is a city in Ventura County in the U.S. state of California. The population was 65,201 at the 2010 census, up from 57,084 at the 2000 census. The Ventura Freeway (U.S. Route 101) is the city's primary thoroughfare. Camarillo is named for Adolfo and Juan Camarillo, two of the few Californios (pre-1848 California natives of Hispanic ancestry) to preserve the city's heritage after the arrival of Anglo settlers. The railroad coast route came through in 1898 and built a station here. Adolfo Camarillo eventually employed 700 workers growing mainly lima beans. Walnuts and citrus were also grown on the ranch. Adolfo bred Camarillo White Horses in the 1920s through the 1960s and was well known for riding them, dressed in colorful Spanish attire, in parades such as the Fiesta of Santa Barbara.

My husband and I returned after eating at this restaurant for the first time following the newest ownership. Unfortunately, however, the food is still tasteless, there continues to be a long wait to get food, and there is no ambience. We won't be returning fir a 3rd time.Very disappointing!Dorothy, Camarillo

I took a visit for lunch it was Taco Tuesday and happy hor all day! The food, the drinks, the service, atmosphere were fantastic! The place was buzzing! I found out that they cater for everyone. Indeed, they have Military Monday...which is 15% off. The Owner, Justin, really does have a grasp on what his customer really wants and needs. Its well done to him. Please everyone....go visit!!! Its the best in the area!!

Quintessential small town sports bar where everyone knows your name and visitors are welcome. Very much like a pub in Scotland or Canada with a mix of families and friends. Nothing stuffy, just boisterous, good food and beer. Philly cheesesteak and curly fried were very good. Salads are huge. Frantic service, but always attentive.

We went to Ric's with family and enjoyed a delicious meal that was very reasonably priced. We ordered the large bbq pizza and it was so big we did not finish it (good for lunch the next day). One family member ordered a caesar salad and another the ruben sandwich. The service was great and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Even though it is a sports/bar restaurant it was not so loud that you could not enjoy your meal.

Stopped here for Sunday brunch late morning as we were waiting for the nearby Olive Oil store to open at noon. Modest menu, with both a regular lunch menu available as well as a Sunday brunch menu. Almost didnât order the omelette as the menu description noted only the omelette (with up to four toppings that you can select) and either potatoes or fruit. Man, I really wanted toast on the side though too. So in the toss up between fish & chips and the omelette, I want with the egg option. And lo and behold, our server asks if I want sourdough or wheat - toast included too, so now Iâm a happy camper.Order taken by the server by memory, which also makes me both nervous as well as a bit impressed, as that superpower is beyond me. Service was friendly and attentive. Place seemed to have a few regulars. I got quite full from the meal. Oh yeah, for the guys, there is some pleasing to the eye artwork in the menâs johnny, fyi.

My first time there, but my daughter makes it a regular stop of hers when traveling between the Central California Coast and Los Angeles. I was not disappointed. We shared a chicken wrap and it was plenty for two people. Their sweet potato fries were fesh and yummy. They make good iced tea, too. Service was good. I will go again when I'm in the area. There is a separate bar area and they have TV for sports.

We live in area and was long time ago we had dinner here. So we were all in for it to have dinner again here. What a disappointment. Meat was not good, lots of fat. French fries below any other restaurant quality. We looked at each other couldn't believe this. Way better choices in Camarillo. We will try in 10 years again.perhaps.

I have never been to a Laura Fish house previously. Itâs a small chain of a couple of restaurants. The fish was extraordinarily good. Lots of choices, and very delicious recipes. Good wine list as well. The service was excellent as well. Our waitress was brand new and yet she was on the ball and knew what she was doing. This was an excellent experience. Canât wait to be back.
