Vermont's largest and perhaps most cosmopolitan city, Burlington beckons with the perfect blend of old New England charm, arts, culture and nature. Located on the shores of Lake Champlain, between the Adirondack and Green Mountains, Burlington is one of those places you can't help but fall in love with. During the spring and summer, the streets come alive with festivals and outdoor concerts. The picnic benches, playground and bike paths of Leddy Park are filled with warm weather revelers, and opportunities to swim, fish or just kick back on the beach abound. In the fall, the Burlington Bike Path is bustling with leaf peepers who come to view the vibrant autumn colors. In winter, lace up your ice skates and head to the Paquette Arena or grab your skis and head to any of the nearby resorts. Church Street Marketplace, with its early 1900s architecture, great restaurants, live entertainment, one-of-a-kind shops and well-known stores, is the focal point of the downtown area. Anytime of the year is a good time for chocolate. Be sure to stop by Lake Champlain Chocolates for a tour and taste.

New Tavern/Restaurant that opened in Burlington, Vermont in March, 2012.
Great place to grab a scotch. Cozy place, a bit on the pricey side but many rare pours that are hard to find. Nice place to go after dinner or to pass the time. Limited food menu - pub items but good.

We had a wonderful dinner starting with an enthusiastic waiter (Andy?) who explained some of the dishes. We ended up ordering the meatloaf and mashed potatoes which were perfection. Definitely would recommend this place and its reasonable prices.

We were told it was a must for drinks and the sunset, and it was true. Very nice people, great views and delicious, well-priced drinks. Definitely recommend it - also note they have areas for eating and others drinking/sunset watching.

We are a locally owned and operated restaurant located on Burlington's waterfront. We specialize in the freshest seafood but also offer burgers, steaks, and vegetarian items. We have Burlington's only raw bar and the best views of Lake Champlain. Come on
Street view is unassuming and similar to something you might see on CA Hwy 1, or in Oregon. Nice inside, but great terrace view of marina and Lake Champlain. Can look down on VT Monsters HQ, "farm team" for Oakland A's. Great place to just relax, shoot the breeze with friends, and grab a drink or meal. Full bar, good menu, good chef. It was totally a place to stop after visiting lighthouse on southeast side of lake. We liked the swordfish and chowder. Our server was efficient and friendly. Prices similar to west coast, but fuller menu.

Stopped here for lunch. They have a good range of craft beers to choose from and other drinks as well. We had the clam chowder, chicken fingers and ceaser salad. We had to wait a while to get the food, but when it arrived, it was really tasty. If you sit outside, itâs great people watching as well. All good recommendations! We have 36 craft beers on tap, to be exact. Thank you for sharingâ.

A farm-to-table gastropub dedicated to showcasing our many local Vermont farms and food producers. Award-winning local burgers, comfort entrees, and innovative nightly specials. The Tap Room delivers highly prized and rare beers from Vermont's backyard an
Thereâs generally a long wait at this restaurant as itâs known to be one of the better ones in the Burlington area. They do have a very extensive selection of craft beers and the bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The food is OK. Itâs rather pricey but that seems par for the course in Burlington. If you donât mind sitting at the bar, itâs worth it to wait there because you are likely to get a spot for dinner sooner than if you wait for a table, and the service at the bar is excellent!

This restaurant was in our hotel so we enjoyed several meals here including breakfast and lunch. We found the service to be very hospitable and kind - and the food was crazy good! I recommend the Mushroom Tartine. If you like mushrooms YOU MUST TRY THIS! After dinner we popped outside to enjoy the fire pit, benches and view of the Lake. I highly recommend this place - oh - and Monday night Trivia was also a lot of fun. The brothers running it had a nice vibe, and nice chemistry. Really enjoyed it.

Fantastic cider! My husband and I each tried a cider flight and enjoyed it very much. We even bought some cider to take with us. Cute business and friendly staff. Be aware that GPS does not take you to the Citizen Cider's business location. We were walking around a block over when an employee walked by us. We were able to ask for directions and were told that lost people are a common occurrence. Will come back here the next time we are in Burlington!
