The old Madelineâs in Orwigsburg had been one of our favorite restaurants before it burned in 2012 and we have waited for it reopen at this new location ever since. We finally got there with four friends and it exceeded our expectations. The facility is just lovely with both inside and outside seating. Each of us was totally satisfied with our meals which went from soup or salad to (shared) desserts. It was tough to make selections from the extensive menu because so many things looked appealing. The portions were very generous too. One thing we liked was the fact that our two side dishes came on a full-size dinner plate with the meat or fish on a separate one. So often everything is piled onto one plate so that you have no room to cut and eat until you are partly into the meal. But not at this place. One of our group ordered liver & onions (who actually orders liver & onions, especially at an upscale restaurant?!). He said it was the best he ever had and (as we all saw) was tender enough to cut with a fork. No complaints from any of us. It is a long drive from our home, but now that we know how good it is, we will make excuses to get to Fogelsville more often.

We stopped on a Friday night in the middle of a long drive home. We passed Valentinos each time we drove to Lancaster- it always looked inviting. Our waitress was Jennifer- she could have not been any nicer or more attentive. All of us ordered chicken dishes from the lighter menu- three different choices and all were delicious. Prices were reasonable- food very good- I am so glad we stopped and hope to do so again.

Had the steak frites with a nice glass of red wine. Steak was ordered medium, and it was perfectly done. My significant other had the burger and a Malbec. The house salad with vinaigrette was tasty. We were impressed with the wine selection. They serve a nice selection of warm rolls with dinner, which seems a bit old fashioned, but it really a nice touch. We went for the skiing, but were very pleasantly surprised and with the restaurant, too.

Welcome to Florence Italian Grille. Experience our affordable âcontemporary cuisineâ in a warm family-friendly atmosphere. Florence is not a chain restaurant - we are a privately owned, independently operated local Italian grille. Over the years, customer
Theservice was great and the salad bar was great... no need for appetizers here. However the entrees were very bland. I don't think there was any salt or pepper; or any seasoning at all. My wife had the Veal Fantasy... the veal was cooked properly but it was very heavy and bland. I had the Frutta di Mare and the shrimp and scallops were over cooked, the vodka sauce way too thick and very bland. I would go back for the salad bar and an appetizer but not for an entree.

The Alburtis Tavern serves delicious food from quite a large menu. I usually order the cheddar and bacon potato skins along with a dessert and it's plenty of food to fill me up. The active train tracks outside go along with the train memorabilia that decorates the interior of the tavern. They also have large rooms available to rent for private functions. If you plan to dine here regularly, make sure to sign up for their free rewards card to earn free food.Thank you and see you again!!

We went here for a casual dinner.......friends had recommended the place.......and when we walked inside their front door, we were bombarded with too much noise for us, so we decided to eat on their patio. A wise decision as it was much quieter out there.A glass of both wine and beer started our evening there........fair prices and an ample pour with the wine.I ordered a Mushroom Swiss Burger (medium-rare request) and that's exactly what I got....perfectly prepared. The side order of French Fries was huge!My spouse tried their California Cheesesteak with Sweet Potato Fries.......both were good. Again, nice portion sizes. The only downfall of the night was slow service......maybe an exceptionally busy night or a shortage of waitstaff? We'll definitely return in the future!

This little tavern is becoming the in place to eat in this rural area.
They have a nice selection of appetizers. Try the pretzel coated mozzarella sticks. There is a large variety of sandwiches. Our favorites have been the cheesesteaks, rubens, burgers and even the grilled cheese is good. There are also a few entrees that have been very good as well. There is outdoor seating in warm weather, and if you have any train lovers.... you get a close up view!

Iâm going to try to keep this review shorter than my YELP review. Let me just say that we have been here many times in the past 6 years or so and itâs always been pretty good ,nothing great but typical bar food , appetizers and a good beer selection which my family likes . This time however I believe it has gone down hill and I will not be returning. We had a party of eight , when our dinners came out 4 were wrong ... AHI tuna was supposed to be VERY RARE and was cooked almost all the way through so it was sent back , I ordered a pasta dish with fettuccine and I RECEIVED LINGUINE but I did not send it back ,it was not very good but I didnât even eat it because I was so upset over the next situation...we ordered my grandson a cheeseburger WELL DONE , he received his food as we were straightening out our food problems, he started eating it and got half way through and the middle was RARE ! We specifically ordered it WELL DONE since it was for a child! At this point I flipped out and asked to see the manager so I could tell him how unacceptable it was for the meat to be so undercooked , his response was âIâll take it off your bill, I donât know what else u want me to do about itâ... REALLY ! This is customer service ? They did offer to make another burger but at this point I just wanted out of there . The managers name was Kyle . Iâll never go back for mediocre food again , there r too many other Restaurants to go to . It was the biggest waste of $180 plus I had an awful time because I was worried about my grandson and I continued to worry for the whole week .Hi KelVery unhappy to hear you had a poor experience! It appears as if you are a great customer and I ask you to please reach out to me at [email protected] at your earliest convenience.
