Jimmy's Famous American Tavern Brea serves up artisanal versions of classic American fare at The Village at La Floresta center.
But the service was really slow and they kept missing things (like not bringing ordered drinks). Potentially it was a 1-time thing, or maybe a Tuesday thing, or maybe itâs just a thing. It did impact our visit regardless. The food was very good. We were all pleased with our meals. Although we are happy your meal was made to your satisfaction, we're disappointed to hear our service was not on-point. It's of the utmost importance that we work towards making this up to you. Kindly send us a note with your phone number and availability at [email protected]. Thank you.

The folks at Macallan's were very customer service oriented and the setting was inviting. Mixed reviews on the food. Got the short-ribs with truffle mashed potatoes. The ribs were good, but a fair amount of fat and a little less meat to eat because of it. Not a fan of the truffle mashed potatoes, although that has more to do with the fact that I guess I don't like truffles than it does with the chef's cooking. Liked it enough to give it another try in the future.

I went with my family to celebrate my Husband's Birthday. The first waiter we had was horrible, not friendly and came with a bad attitude. Luckily he swapped tables. The waitresses we ended up with was very friendly, although she was very clumsy. She not only spilled drinks on the table but also knocked over the chips at a separate time. What really bothered me about this event that we were over changed! First we were charged two different prices for the same drink (not a happy hour price, a .50 cent difference, wth?). Then they added an additional Queso Fundido when we simply wanted to add Chorizo. Lastly they brought my Husband a Birthday brownie that we didn't ask for and yet we were charged for, who does that?! If you go double check your bill oh and avoid the roasted chicken, it was under seasoned.

Craftsman is a locally owned and operated restaurant that opened in December of 2013. Our focus is simple: great food, great value and a great atmosphere provided to you from the friendliest people in Placentia.
Showed up around 2pm so the restaurant was not crowded. Asked the waitress for a recommendation since I had never been before. She recommended the Korean Beef Bulgogi pizza. It was spicy and GREAT. Was the perfect blend of eating beef bulgogi AND pizza. Pleasant atmosphere, nothing fancy. Great place for lunch.

Great service and great food. Was concered with such an huge menu the food quality would be average but was pleasantly surprised how good and delicious everything was. Ordered the fried chicken sandwhich and it was cooked to perfection, the chicken was nice and moist it was great, only complaint it started to fall apart when eating it. Also sampled the desert trio but unfortunately when ordering we were not advise one of the deserts wasn't available so when it was delivered to the table we had dark chocolate cake twice and the peach apple cobbler once without asking which we would prefer.

Came here for dinner with a friend. I ordered the beef ribs and my friend had the tri-tip.My friend said her trip-tip was very good and would order it again. My ribs however were a disappointment. There was very little meat on them. Of the five ribs I got, only one was what I would call passable. We did like the sides however - braised greens, mac & cheese, bbq beans. We had a nightcap at the bar before we left. When it comes to bourbon and rye whiskey, they have a better than average selection. They even offer flights of whiskey.

We had the lobster cappuaccino (variation of lobster bisque), short ribs and the coconut cake. The food was good overall, though the short ribs were a bit too salty and needed another minute in the pressure cooker. The lobster bisque was very rich and almost too rich. The coconut cake was very moist. Ambiance is nice though a bit dark for lunch.

Every once in a while, Taps does a special dinner paired with wine. This time around it was paired with Scotch and Whiskey! This was a 3 course meal paired with a wide palette for Scotch & Whiskey drinkers: from mild (Suntory Scotch) to a heavy mossy Laphroaig for the 2nd course and Jim Beam, Black Extra Aged for the final course.Approximately, 70 people joined the occasion, held out in the patio area, may have not been the best location, since the patio is next to Imperial Highway and with evening traffic, the hearing competition was at it's highest. The Chef has a culinary series, a farm vineyard to table specials and this one was Interesting: 1- Tempura Squash Blossom paired with Japanese Scotch. 2-House Cured Skuna Bay Salmon paired with Laphroaig Scotch. And lastly, Bourbon marinated Duck Breast with the Jim Beam Whiskey. All 3 pairing were very good. Price fixe dinner was $69 each. Not Bad! But, it did not include dessert nor coffee, which in my mind should have been. The allocation of Scotch & Whiskey was to say, minimal. So, as compared to Wine, I would like to have a little more offerings to savory the taste of scotch with the meal. All in all, it was a nice evening, joined by John, my Father-in-law and my Son, Noah. And Cheers to Noah, on to the Wharton MBA program.Cheers to Noah, indeed! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback and enjoying our World of Whisky 3 course dinner, along with your son, father-in-law and John. We do have these events often, so your feedback is definitely helpful in making sure we provide you with an even better experience the next time. Thank you again, we hope to enjoy a return visit from you in the future.

Guest had Grilled Lemon Chicken and raved about the cauliflower mash, it was a large serving! Butter Cake.... End of!! sooo good! For the price and over all experience it was well worth it, Very Casual atmosphere you can sit outside as well, it was very busy when we arrived but had no issues getting seats and enjoying!

This has to be the best new restaurant Iâve been to in a long time. Lots of menu options that cater from vegan to meat options as well! They even have the impossible patty, that I now like better than real meat! The chia pudding is also to die for! Must try this place.
