We entered with a degree of trepidation as we had previously had a very poor experience many years before. As we entitled the review, what a difference! On enquiring about availability of a table, we were welcomed, shown to our table and immediately made welcome. Our order was taken professionally and politely. All three courses were excellent, both in quality and portion size. The restaurant and bars were busy, yet the staff were in complete control and nothing was going to stop them providing excellent service. The decor has been sympathetically improved and updated and whilst some work is still ongoing it doesn't disturb the guests experience. The new owners and the team are really doing a great job and we are looking forward to returning. Brampton might have a " bypass " but if you are in the area, it's worth pulling into town for food or a pleasant hotel to stay?

A local, traditional pub with an upstairs restaurant room.
Fab pub great banter. Popped in when we arrived in village on Wednesday night - great chat, friendly bar maid and good local craic. Back again on Friday for footie, busier and good friendly chat and company. Recommend, good beer and good prices

Warm fire, good ale (black sheep) and tasty food (pork hock scrumpy) - just what was needed after a busy day out and about - and with friendly and efficient service.

Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food we were served for our evening meal. The menu and the specials board provided extensive options and the food was perfectly cooked and served with a genuine smile.

The Greenhead Hotel is a 3-star hotel situated in the hamlet of Greenhead in Northumberland, which is right at the heart of the Hadrianâs wall trail just off the A69, 19 miles from Carlisle, 9 miles from Brampton and just over 3 miles from Haltwhistle whe
Stopped here for a bit of lunch after walking along a section of the wall. The lunch menu had a great choice (my fish finger sarnie was awesome). Good choice of beers as well. It has obviously been recently been done up. Friendly staff.Would definitely return.

While visiting family we drove past this lovely village pub/restaurant with two dogs.Seeing the dogs were welcome outside in the garden we stopped and enjoyed a lovely meal in the sunshine. The dogs also enjoyed a nice big bowl of water! From the outset the staff were friendly, helpful and suggested the best dishes to try. Their customer service was outstanding and they came over to the table were friendly and chatted to us without being intrusive or âoutstaying their welcomeâ Definitely somewhere worth stopping if you enjoy great customer service and lovely food at a sensible price.

This inn overlooks the South Tyne river and its beautiful fells. Situated "off the beaten track" it well rewards those who travel to find it. It is also a very good lunch spot for those who ride the narrow gauge railway from Alston. The Kirkstyle Inn has
We had a couples evening meal at the Kirkstyle Inn. We were warmly welcomed, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Food was great, catering for gluten free requirements in our party and the local beer hit the right spot. Presentation of meals was good, portions were large, and well-cooked steaks were accompanied by delicious sauces. We timed our visit to coincide with the monthly fun quiz night, so got entertained as well.

You are unlikely to come across this place by accident but it is worth doing the research and going to it. It is unusually situated in the middle of an attractive retirement chalet park. The interior design is warm and welcoming and staff were friendly. I had the best pub food I have had for a long time. I had scampi and chips - the chips were chunky, home cooked and tasty. Even the peas were fresh not frozen. For dessert I had creme brûlée which came with little shortbread biscuits warm from the oven. I will definitely return when I am in those parts again.Thank you very much for taking the time to review Blenkinsopp Castle Inn. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your visit and hope you will call on us again.
